Landhotel Schwarzes Ross

This was an excellent family run hotel just outside of Rothenburg ODT. They gave us an upgrade when we checked in and even suggested a good restaurant not far away. Excellent price and good free breakfast too. ... it is a German breakfast.

Lovely traditional German Home in a small village maybe 10 minutes from Nuremburg Christmas Market/Downtown area. Family is very welcoming and provide a nice breakfast. They also speak English:-)

We opted for the 'superior' room because we were travelling with our grandson. The room was very large by European standards and the bathroom was huge and very modern. Breakfast was excellent. Wi-Fi was offered but we couldn't get the Wi-Fi to work even with their help. Too bad

This Inn was excellent. It was a good price and the owners were extremely helpful. They provided us tips on how to get to Rothenberg and the Romantic Road and seemed genuinely interested in helping us out with any of our questions. Included in the price was the breakfast buffet which included cold cuts, eggs, cheese and bread, as well as fresh coffee which was all delicious. The Inn is close to Rothenberg and makes for a great place to stay at a much better price, so long as you have a car to get around. The room was very large and the bathroom excellent by European standards. The place was very quiet and is in the country.

I spent 2 weeks traveling around Europe with my family, this was our last hotel on our trip and was by far the best one we stayed at. We were in the family room over the separate guest house. It has 2 bedrooms, one is a children's room with two twin beds and a master bedroom with a full size bed. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable, although the pillows were not that great. There was also a full kitchen and living/dining room. The bathroom was huge and had a bathtub! The owners were very nice and helpful. We were able to have a load of laundry done and they gave us directions to places we were visiting. There was free parking and breakfast, which was really good. The only thing that I didn't like was the town church was right across the street from the hotel and the bell rang every hour and rang for a few minutes at 6am and 11am every morning. Overall I loved this hotel and will definitely stay there again.

We really liked Hotel Schwarzes Ross. It was in a quiet little town. They offered a wonderful breakfast. Wifi was a little spotty. Went to a nearby restaurant for great dinner.

owners are very nice and friendly. they made us feel like we are visiting our family out in country side and gave us a better deal than what we reserved for. I made reservation for double room for my husband, me and my 4 year-old son and they gave us quadruple room for the same price. breakfast was excellent. room was clean and bathroom was as good as other 4 star hotels in Europe. highly recommended.
