Royal Hotel

The hotel was within easy reach of all the attractions in Scarborough.

Wasn’t made aware of ongoing renovations

Myself and my husband love Scarborough the only place to stay is the royal friendly staff nothing is to much trouble for them

No walk in shower that we asked for. Could not walk round the hotel as work was ongoing. This wasn't mentioned when we booked. Thank you.

It has a pool inside which is wonderful

Doesn't have a car park.

The breakfast was excellent everything was cooked nicely and hot

The only thing we didn't like were the bed pillows it was like sleeping on a pile of rocks. We would recommend, to test them out yourself for a night and see if you get any sleep also no handrail in the shower my husband and are in our eighties and found it difficult without one

Sadly, the experience was not good ..I tried explaining to the staff but felt they weren't interested..I was told I should have said something that morning but I was too exhausted..i was offered a change of room but it was too late for me to move...I felt the room was depressing ., I tried to communicate how I felt at the time ..I do not recommend this place unless you pay for an upgrade at the beginning..sadly very disappointing.,the views on the bench opposite the hotel are lovely .The mints were nice on the reception n it did look beautiful on arrival. But after that 😢😢
