Grand Velas Riviera Maya - All Inclusive

We are repeat visitors to Grand Velas Riviera Maya, and it continues to set the standard for what a truly exceptional resort experience should be. From the moment you arrive, the entire operation runs with a level of care and hospitality that is remarkable. The grounds are beautiful and impeccably maintained, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and we have had wonderful stays in both the Ambassador and Zen sections of the resort. The food continues to be a highlight of every visit. The wine list is excellent, especially at Frida, where we discovered several surprising and wonderful Mexican wines that paired beautifully with the menu. Sen Lin is always a highlight for us, and Azul never disappoints. Antonio and Juan at Azul took wonderful care of us, and Fernely at Chaka was equally fantastic. The kids clubs are also exceptional and make traveling as a family feel truly relaxing. Our children loved the programming, and the staff are thoughtful, warm, and attentive. A special thank you as well to Edith for the beautiful yoga classes and to our concierge Dariana, who helped make every detail of our stay seamless. Kudos to the entire Grand Velas team. It is clear that a tremendous amount of care and pride goes into creating such a consistently special experience. The leadership and culture behind this resort truly show through the warmth and professionalism of every team member we encountered. We always leave already looking forward to our next visit.

We just returned from an amazing Spring Break stay at Grand Velas Riviera Maya with our family, and it exceeded our expectations in so many ways. The service was outstanding, especially from the concierge and pool staff. A special thank you to Jessica and Luis, our personal concierges, who were both incredibly helpful throughout our stay. They were always friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed—from helping with reservations to answering questions and making great suggestions. Their hospitality made a big difference in our experience. The pool staff also went above and beyond, making sure everyone was comfortable, keeping the area clean, and regularly checking in to see if we needed drinks or food. Their attention and positive attitudes made our days by the pool relaxing and enjoyable. Another highlight of the trip was the food. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality across all of the restaurants (Piaf & Sen Lin were our favorites). Every meal we had was delicious, with a great variety of options. It’s not always easy for an all-inclusive resort to maintain high food quality at multiple restaurants, but this resort absolutely delivered. We also treated ourselves to a visit at the spa, which was wonderful. The spa facilities were beautiful and relaxing, and the staff provided an excellent experience from start to finish. It was the perfect way to unwind during the trip. Overall, this was a fantastic family Spring Break vacation. Between the attentive staff, great food, and relaxing amenities, we had a memorable stay and would absolutely recommend this resort to others.

We had an incredible time at Grand Velas. This is our third time staying here and it gets better every time. The food is of the utmost quality and the service is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced at any resort. Despite the size of the property, the staff there went above and beyond to take care of us. I would like to recognize the hard work of our concierge Leo. He made this trip absolutely unforgettable.

Great place for kids and family during certain times of the year. Just be careful when busy large investments groups are around. Overall very friendly and resort very easy to get around. Some of the best restaurants in Riviera Maya.

This resort provided us with the best service experience and food/ drink experience we have ever had at an all-inclusive resort! The Michelin Star Cocina de Autor was on par with similarly rated restaurants we have been to, and although the wine pairing was 'extra', the food quality and experience was amazing, and was included. Everything was clean as a whistle, and our room cleaning and service was amazing. We were upgraded to Grand Class, and the ocean view was expansive and phenomenal. I especially loved watching the sunrise with my coffee every morning. A special shoutout to Braulio and Jeronimo, who were our personal concierges, and who made our stay comfortable. They checked in everyday, and immediately responded to any questions and requests. They changed our reservations when needed, and even ran milk up to our room for our upset toddler one morning! The servers at the restaurants were also amazing, and there was a serving team at Frida who was especially good, but unfortunately I have forgotten their names! This team recommended the best dishes, and brought us a small taste of every dessert at the end, when we couldn't decide on just one. Our kids loved it. If you are a beach person, then know that they have the best sand here, but we did find our stay interrupted by seaweed... a big plume came in and the beach wasn't very swimmable for 5 out of 7 days of our stay. I think people know seaweed is a risk on the East Coast of Mexico, but I'm mentioning in case you want to know. The seaweed isn't supposed to be an issue until April, but in March it was an issue for us for sure. Also at the beautiful family pool, Miguel and his team members were phenomenal... just making sure to mention the servers I remember! The activities and shows were great for kids, and the kids club was amazing. Great baby sitters! A special mention of Wendy at the kids club, who remembered my kids' names and said hi whenever she saw them around the resort! There are beautiful birds to observe and listen to, given the jungle is feet away, and the kids loved the geckos and iguanas, who are all very comfortable with people. There are some wily racoons around, and I had to chase one away who was interested in the orange on my drink! There are cenotes with turtles and fish at the Zen part of the resort. Nature feels very close, and it's all very beautiful. We will be back for sure sometime in the next few years!

I just got back from my third trip to Grand Velas. We had the best time. The food was amazing, the spa treatments were great, and the service everywhere we went was fantastic. We had Luis and Jessica as our concierge people and they were fantastic. They helped us with every request and checked in daily to make sure we had everything we needed. If you arrive and find out they are helping you during your stay, you should feel blessed! You are about to have a great trip. I had Asunción and Sim Duy at the spa. They gave me amazing massages and made it very relaxing. My favorite restaurants were Lucca and Sen Lin. Eli and Oliverio were great at Lucca. We also had a great time at the pool and beach. Daniel was our favorite beach server. It was one of the most relaxing weeks I have had!

Third visit to GVRM. Each time our group grows as we bring more family. It is consistently excellent. Food, facilities, service, landscape and architectural design. The high-quality all-inclusive offerings make for a very relaxed experience. Food: Sen Lin and Lucca stand out for dinner, and Azul for breakfast and lunch. Poolside food at Zen is also very, very good. Staff: shout outs to Aaron (concierge), Gabriel and Oscar (Zen pool), Luis, Sergio and Jhonny (Sen Lin), Juan and Oliviero (Lucca), and many others including the great suite service staff whose names we did not get — sorry. Weak points: beach (rocky, not swimmable, not enough umbrellas, poor service), Frida (way too slow), and Cocina de Autor (almost exactly the same tasting menu as last year—part of being a top restaurant is evolving, not stagnating). We recommend this fantastic resort without any hesitation. See you next time.

This was a fabulous choice for a trip for our family —- the mist attentive service I’ve ever experienced at a hotel, and a great balance of family-friendly activities (sports, pools, kids clubs) and experiences for just the two of us (spa, adults-only pool, adults-only fine-dining). Shout-outs to our concierges Luis and Jessica, who messaged us and came to check on us throughout the day, Orlando the bartender for a very informative margarita class, and Carolina for a seamless babysitting experience. Luis and Jessica’s welcoming faces was the perfect start to our weeklong family vacation at Grand Velas. They added special little touches like balloon bubble bath for the kids and birthday treats for my wife. The food, service and drinks were also top notch. The hotel was perfect and a much needed escape from being in the cold NE for the longest winter I can remember
