Clifton Hotel

It was a very hot day ! There was no working fan in the room

for the price the room and the view from the room were excellent. The bar was very pleasant, again with great views.

Friendly. Helpful staff. Room was very clean and even had a coffee machine.

The mattress was a bit too hard but still got a great night's sleep.

positives , clean , good breakfast , nice staff (although bar staff could crack a smile - miserable)

small room , lift always out of order , sea view on 4th floor was a joke and not worth the extra money

The poor outside , paint peeling on walls . No ventilation/air con in ground floor room , only patio which led on to car park and coast road

Staff were very polite, friendly and welcoming. They were also very helpful. There was a friendly atmosphere in the hotel. Overall look good of hotel was very nice. Room was clean and tidy and well maintained.

Breakfast was a bit bland. It would have been nice to have had more breakfast options in the hotel.

The rooms are too hot. No air-conditioning, just a cheap little fan. Only one window opened a crack. Also their online system will pester you daily to check in online even when its not working.

Very tired building inside and outside Lifts (sorry lift singular) mostly didn’t work Not particularly comfortable bed Shower poor Has to be the worst hotel breakfast offering I have seen

Great location for Open Air Theatre, easy to park. Great staff, very friendly and accommodating.

Room was very hot, but it was surprisingly hot in Scarborough the day we stayed so not really the hotels fault.
