The owner is very rude and has absolutely no customer service skills and called me “bastard bitch” “bloody chicken bitch” and told me to “fuck off” after I reported his behaviour to his higher ups at Wyndham and one of the rooms were in horrible condition with broken doors,broken light switches and there was some kind of bodily fluid all over the bed

Very old poorly maintained, wires ganging from ceiling

Occupants do not have control of the air conditioning

Basically a place to sleep while visiting. Price very good; room good, clean; other services permitting low price OK

Difficult situation with a hotel owner/manager. Here's a breakdown of what happened: You went to the office around 5 PM for essential supplies (towels and toilet paper). Lack of Service: Despite ringing the service bell multiple times over a 5-minute period, you received no initial response. Other guests also arrived to check in and experienced the same lack of service. Confrontational Manager: When the owner/manager finally appeared, their behavior was aggressive and unhelpful. They threatened to call the police instead of addressing my needs. Communication Breakdown: The owner/manager refused to listen to your explanation for needing assistance. They focused on threats and recording the interaction with security cameras. Resolution: Only after you stated you would wait for the police and have them review the video did the owner/manager begrudgingly listen to your request, and then abruptly ended the conversation by slamming the window. This negative experience is significant, especially considering your frequent hotel stays for work all over North America. I've NEVER been treated with this level of confrontational service! This type of treatment is unacceptable for anyone in the service industry! This Owner / Manager should be removed from their position!

Good basic accommodation at a great rate.

The Thriftlodge has bed bugs! Stayed there for a few days and got bites, told the management and they moved me rooms but said they didn’t have any bugs and moved another guy into the same room. Got bites in the other room to teared the bed apart and found bed bug feces stains all over the box spring and bugs in the steel frame. They were extremely rude and accused me of bringing the bugs in, also wouldn’t offer me a refund.

I am not easy to unsettle, but this place truly freaked me out. The manager was openly hostile and he threatened me when I asked for my ID and visa back because I was leaving. I was charged by Expedia and then charged again by the manager. This place is the worst place ever. Absolutely terrible.
