"Exceptional"

I loved the cottage. It was clean and quiet. They are secluded off the main road. They are currently doing renovations to the other sections of the property but I did not mind. Of course I would have loved to enjoy the hot springs but I guess I’ll haveto visit when they are done being worked on. Bed was comfortable. Room has AC , a ceiling fan, and a heater. Refrigerator and coffee maker. I will definitely return

"Exceptional"

Exceptional experience, thank you so much for meeting and exceeding our expectations. The place is neat and clean, plus - most importantly - it for sure has that western movies chiq we were looking for. I'm truly impressed by the interior, minimalistic yet as comfortable as it can get. Good job for reproducing the atmosphere so accurately!

"Rustic charm a little rough around edges"

8.0

The room was super cute...loved the touches of rustic decor. The bathroom was in sparkling condition (looked newly redone). I didn't realize when I made the booking that there was no TV in the room, which was fine, because we were only there overnight. Opps for improving: I didn't know how to find the place. No visible sign except across the street at the Golf Course/Grill. We tried going in and no one was in sight, so we drove further down the road, circled back, went back to the Grill and were told to go to the Market next door for check in. Did I miss the info on my booking? It would be good for it to be more prominent. Currently the only place for dinner close by is the Grill, which was fine, but it is scary to have to dash across highway 79 to get from the resort to the grill. Driving across is also scary because of the speed that cars travel on that stretch. Also, by our parking space at the room, there was a wadded up blanket and a few other things that made it look like a homeless person was living there. Last thing: the porch with the chairs was charming and we enjoyed sitting there to unwind after a long day, and soak up some of the natural beauty, but then the neighbors came out and since there is no privacy, we were forced to socialize with a very chatty couple. They were nice, but sometimes you prefer quiet solitude, especially in that setting. Would be nice to have a screen or some sort of divider. We fled back into the room after a discreet period of time.

"Turkey Vultures"

8.0

The room was very comfortable but no pool or hot tub. I didn't like the late check time of 4:00. We got there at 1:30 and had to wait till 4:00 to check in. Not good! There was no one else but us there. Why did we have to wait? The food was good though. We went to the church and prayed while we waited for our room. There were at least 10 turkey vultures in the trees waiting for us to die.

"All in all, a good place to stay"

10.0

We booked this hotel for just one night, for a weekend getaway. Location was convenient, about 30 mins drive to Julian and 35 min drive to Anza Borregeo state park. The place is still under renovations so there were no available amenities. Also, there is only one restaurant across the street, closing at 8 pm and the gas station closes at 6 pm, so I'd recommend to plan your meals in advance and buy water and snacks prior arrival. Check-in was quick and easy (after 6 pm check-in is at the gate). The room was clean and the bed was pretty comfy. Hot shower with good water pressure (but no tub). The only problem is that you share a wall with the other room and can really hear anything they do or say, including snoring (!). Also, there is no T.V. in the room (we didn't care).

"Overall the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. "

6.0

The room was nice and clean. However, the entire property is going through a mass renovation so there is are no amenities and most of it is closed off. The town is small so everything closes at 5pm and there is nothing around... no food, no store, no nothing and the rooms do not have TV's. For the price is it way to expensive at 120 per night for what you get which is basically a room with a bed and shower.

"Charming Historic Cottage Surrounded by Beautiful Landscape"

10.0

I used to go to Warner Springs as a child and was so disappointed when the property closed. That said, the renovations that have been made to the historic cottages were done thoughtfully and with care. Our place was intimate, clean and modernized, while still retaining some rustic charm. The surrounding landscape is so beautiful! My husband and I explored the desert, wineries and drove into Julian for the day. We had a truly lovely, restful experience and sincerely hope that Warner Springs Ranch continues to fully renovate and flourish, as we will happily return any time!
