Z Ocean Hotel, Classico A Sonesta Collection

we found the facility to be run down compared to other places we haver been, like the Palms a few blocks north. The location is very good, but the facility is run down. The room we were given has a broken toilet seat, the chair fabric was worn, the TV connections were from 20 years ago. Instead of stayhin g 2 nites, we cancelled second nite and went up to the Palms, which for about the same about of $$, is all updated and clean.

Fab location… really spacious room and for the money a great stay!!

Everything was great if you have a nice car and like to keep it up front this is not the hotel

I loved the front desk staff… Bald head light skin guy was humorous. Sevre was very helpful

This property is a nightmare! I will never stay here or recommend it to anyone. I was checked into a very dirty room, inside and out. They switched my room due to the inconvenience, but the nightmare continued. The door to the patio kept getting stuck, stained sheets, people with congregate outside my door to have conversations, they left a very loud fan in the hallway in front of my room to keep the floor dry leading to the pool area, lastly there was a hole in the hot tub (which was a like warm soaking tub, no jets can be used). When I went to discuss with the hotel personnel, he was not helpful, tried to compete with me on who hadn’t had a vacation the longest and did nothing about the problems and refused to switch me to another room beans he said the hotel was full. I later found out upon checkout that he was lying and additional rooms were available. This place felt very unsafe. Housekeeping would just walk into your room without knocking, multiple times a day. Hotel has a dank order to it. Overall NIGHTMARE! The best thing about this place is that it’s walkable to the beach, shops and restaurants…. so u can stay away from it most of the day. Do not book at this place unless you’re ok with living in the slums and poor customer service. You have been warned

The pool was awesome…sometimes the ocean water was too cold but the hotel has heated pools so that was nice. The restaurant is a little expensive but food is very good

Decadent property

Shower stall knobs fell off although shower itself worked fine. Front desk didn't provide the breakfast vouchers until we reminded them. Breakfast was average, no indoor seating (temp. was in high 50s). On morning of checkout, when we returned to room after breakfast, the door would not unlock. Contacted front desk and they got maintenance to unlock. Also no welcome drinks were offered although it said so in their handout.

Great Location very close to places we want to visit. Bed was comfortable and patio was nice.

It needs a full maintenance review. Light socket that didn’t work in bathroom or next to bed. No safe in room when we got there. Furniture worn down
