Z Ocean Hotel, Classico A Sonesta Collection

The location

Pros: location, large room, beach chairs and private rooftop deck for the penthouse rooms. Cons: nonworking toilet, dirty hallways, unwelcoming environment, nonworking coffee maker, filthy private hot tub, terrace door that wouldn’t open, closed public restrooms, hard to obtain beach towels. We also had to ask for our breakfast vouchers and welcome drink, if we hadn’t asked it wouldn’t have been offered. We asked for a working coffee maker, it was never brought up. Beach towels are nonexistent in the pool but at check in that’s where they tell you to go…. Nobody there. The elevators are like a portal into another dimension with two mirrors facing each other and a person there pushing the elevator buttons, very sweet lady BUT odd setup none the less. Furniture/interior design is from many decades ago and forgotten by time. We booked this place last minute and I can’t say I would ever stay here again or recommend you stay either. Book something else.

Zocean is no way a 4 star property. In a suite, they do not have a sofa bed, but they have two bathroom! Service at the reception only does check-in and check-out. When I raised the point about sofa bed, they stated that if we have a rolling bed we will put it. I had to call Expedia to get addressed. Their internal door to the balcony on 2nd floor would not lock. Why do not they say that the property is under renovation on 2nd floor. I will never go to Zocean again. Overall bad experience

The location.

1- issues with the door lock. 2- tv didnt work 3- hot tub was empty and no one to help. 4- said partial ocean view and couldnt see the ocean at all. 5- they remodeled, but all they did was make the room smaller

Property was great room was clean. Restaurant downstairs food was good.

We picked the spa suite because of the jacuzzi on the balcony. The jacuzzi was dirty and also the jets were turned off so we could not use the hot tub. We would have opted for a different hotel or room to save money had we of known this.

The room booked was not available, when queried stated the room we got was the same price which wasn’t the case, stated room would be available next day but never materialized, internet was terrible and un protected, following our check out further charges appeared on credit

This is a perfectly located hotel, one block off the beach with beach chair services and right in the thick of south beach. It has very long corridors and is showing some of its age, but it is a great value and the rooms are some of the largest I’ve stayed in in Miami.

great location! room is ideal for 2 adults we had 2 young adults with us to sleep in pull out sofa bed it was ok comfy for them . room has nespresso coffee machine, toaster, microwave and fridge it also had chairs, towels and umbrella for beach wich was really great. Easy walk to beach and resto. Pharmacy walking distance to go buy drinks and food. The only negative comment would be pool area is missing "love"missing plants, flowers etc... but in all had long chairs and table to sit around pool (curtains seperating units for privacy have seen better days but concept is great). great short vacation would definiyely go back
