Vihren Royal Palace

Good location

We stayed in the annex building, and on the first night, we wandered around the hotel for about an hour trying to find our room. The elevator was terrifying—it made a terrible noise, so I only used the stairs for the entire stay. We didn’t have hot water for two out of the three days, despite multiple visits to the reception. There were no radiators in the rooms, just a single heater in the bedroom, so while we slept with some warmth, we were shivering from the cold in the other rooms. The WiFi didn’t work at all. One of our robes had a big hole in it. The pool water was cold, and there were pieces of marble at the bottom. There is no actual jacuzzi—just a small section of the pool with water jets, but the water is the same temperature as the rest of the pool. The cutlery at breakfast was often not washed properly. On our last night, we had pizza at the hotel bar, and we all ended up spending the night in the bathroom. This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I have no idea how it has so many stars. Just look at the pictures to see how clean it really was and what our room looked like.(and I do have even more pictures but booking does not let me upload them)

Great value, close to the slopes, nice pool/spa, friendly staff.

Getting to the room was a long way and confusing, breakfast wasn't great.

Location is superb! Staffs are 5 star!!
