"The last stay"

I have stayed at the Lambert on and off for 10 years with probably 100 + nights there in that time. it has had a gradual decline. Though still in a good position and enjoying a quiet location I won’t be staying again. Breakfast was poor - looking like it had been out for hours and much of the evening service appeared difficult

"Comfortable and convenient for the opera"

A small friendly hotel with comfortable rooms with air-con, as long as you are in the courtyard block. Duvets and pillows are non-feather, so can be a bit warm. Bar food and breakfast excellent, as was the receptionist. The lady who served breakfast was particularly delightful. Good value at £103.55 single occupancy per night b&b.

"Could be better"

Poor quality loo paper, crisps well out of date and soggy, impersonal service. Much better when it was independently owned, not now its a Mercure. Good location for M40 and OK value but looking and smelling a little tired.

"Bad stay "

The room was not as it was shown in the photos, no bed runner, and no cushions which wasn’t a big deal until I realised how bad the pillows were, so I went into the wardrobe to get extra pillows to realise they were stained and full of dust, absolutely disgusting. The shower was either really cold or burning hot, we went to the reception to speak about the shower issue to be told, just be careful. £105 for a room that I literally cannot even have a shower is a joke.

Snotty staff . Room was freezing staff not interested when I complained . Restaurant staff unhelpful and wanted you out as quick as possible
