Mercure Thame Lambert Hotel

Family pet friendly room, daughter had a very uncomfortable put me up bed and only one out of three pillows was comfortable. Convenience was great and everyone very welcoming and polite. When I called to enquire about for breakfast were told it was 7am and when we arrived it was 8am on the weekends so we missed out on a cooked one.

Overall a pleasant stay, with a quiet, comfortable room. Staff were helpful. Quibbles I would have are to do with the eco level: the amount of water used in the shower is excessive, as is usually the case with the overhead type. I would also suggest that grab handles are fitted to enable less mobile people to gain safe access and exit over the bath into and out of the shower. Breakfast was a disappointment with rather unappetising sausages and scrambled egg.

Location of the property is great .food choices are not good .

To start the staff were very friendly so I have no complaints about that however the whole stay was disappointing for a number of reasons. In my room, considering they are supposed to be following Covid guidelines for cleanliness, it didn't feel very clean. The previous persons shower gel lid was still in the shower, their welcome letter was also in the room and the cups and one glass we not very clean, looked like they were rinsed in the sink. The shower head fell apart when I switched it on and I had to put it back together. Also on the second day, there was no hot water in the morning, other people were also complaining about that. The bed was comfy and it was quiet. The breakfast was terrible, the breads and pastries were all out and uncovered, again not Covid safe, Covid aside, there were loads of flies about due to it being warm. I ordered porridge both days, the first day it had been made with water which I don't like however I didn't specify. On the second day I asked for it to be made with milk which it wasn't but even worse it looked like porridge oats had been poured into hot water and not cooked properly, it was so watery. I decided to have a box of cereal instead because I couldn't eat that so made the cereal and on tasting it, the milk was on the turn. On checkout I wanted to let them know about how bad my stay was, there was another lady checking out that also wanted to complain but there was no one there and we ended up just putting our keys in the key box.

I’ve sent a report I was in room 107 and I turned left to put my bag into a friends car I then went down another corridor and the service room had a big ants nest coming under the door

The mattresses on the bed were hard.

Nice spacious room, clean. Restaurant very over priced and super small portion sizes, breakfast shocking, scrambled eggs awfull so asked for fried eggs, left most of those to as the chef cant cook eggs !

Rooms were spacious clean and comfortable. Menu is very limited and both food and drinks are expensive. Food portions were tiny and value for money was very disappointing! Will not stay here again!

Breakfast was £10 but good, booking ahead was a pain, also Wedding party ahead cleaned it out on Sunday morning. Otherwise good

Despite being very close to M40 this was a very quiet place to stay.Lovely view of The Chilterns from our room,and a Red Kite spotted! Room clean and comfy with 3 chairs and 2 tables,good for inroom picnic.
