The St. Regis Mexico City

Outstanding holiday in Mexico City at the St. Regis. Paulina at the front desk went above and beyond to find an excellent room for us overlooking the Diana. Gabriella made sure we were able to book last minute on arrival for the Day of the Dead parade brunch (which was delicious) and also a great view. Tohm, the Manager on Duty was superb and really made sure we had a great experience. Emiliano and Luiz were absolute legends in the Old King Cole bar where we ended up on many nights; and Eduardo and the porters were all amazing and welcoming every day. Housekeeping was excellent and our room kept spotless and fresh everyday including nightly Lindt chocolates. The champagne sabre service was a lot of fun; the pool and gym were excellent. Thanks for a great stay. We’ll be back for sure!

Loved this hotel and the staff!

The location of the hotel was excellent. The staff were always above and beyond.

We had a large, comfortable room with a king bed and a couch. The large bathroom included a shower, wholly separate bathtub, and two sinks. There’s a good exercise room open 24 hours a day, and a spa. Housekeeping came by twice a day. All very nice. What really made the hotel stand out was the service. When we asked for something ordinary or unusual, everyone was helpful. I’ve stayed at many hotels and never needed any special services (other than ordinary housekeeping). Some hotels fail on the service side. I’ve concluded in the end that it’s service that distinguishes the top hotels and not the basic facilities. There were some things I didn’t like so much, but they were not enough to diminish the rating For example, the plugs at the desk. There was one. There were other plugs around the room in less convenient locations that would have served in a pinch. Luckily, I travel with a triple tap, and that solves a lot of problems. The desk needs a power strip, a common deficiency at hotels, grand and otherwise. The bathroom was fine, but it could have benefited from a shelf or two and more hooks on the wall. Lighting controls in the room were confusing. All minor issues. The elevators were.... unfriendly. You need to take one elevator to the lobby and another to your room. I assume that this was all for security so I don’t really object. But it’s unsettling to call the elevator and then get into it and find no button for the floor you want. You select your floor before you get in. Not terrible, but a common topic of conversation among guests and mildly disorienting at first. Finally, Mexico City is noisy. That's nothing that anyone in the hotel can address, but the horns and cycles were very audible in our seventh floor room. They should have done a better job soundproofing. All quibbles. Still a solid five stars.

I had a great stay at the St. Regis. The suite, food, and staff were all great, but there is room for improvement. I'm platinum with Bonvoy, and I was upgraded to a one-bedroom suite without having to use a Nightly Upgrade Award. The suite was spacious enough that I could imagine doing a long-term stay here with no problem. My complaint about the room was the living room sofa, which has definitely seen better days. The bed was comfortable, and I loved having a separate bedroom so I could close the door at night. This was really appreciated one early morning when I could hear people in the hallway. With the door closed, I couldn't hear a thing from the hallway. The walk-in shower was amazing! I had an issue with water running out of the shower, but it was resolved shortly after I reported it to the butler. The towels could also use some updating. I expected thicker, fluffier towels and was also surprised to see strings hanging from the corners. I could get the temperature in the room just the way I liked it. Other Marriott properties need to take note! My last complaint was about the pressing service. Guests are entitled to 2 pieces per night, but next time I'd request an iron so that I can press my own garments. The team didn't do a good job on some of my items. Food was great - especially the Sunday morning brunch. As someone with a food allergy, I love that they had a wide enough variety of dishes for me to choose from each morning. The green juice was delicious! My other negative comment is about payment. I don't understand what the hotel is doing with their conversion. My quote was in USD, but my final bill was in MEX that was then converted back to USD. So I ended up paying about $70 more than what my original booking was for. If I stay here again, I'll pay in pesos at checkout. The staff was amazing! Everyone - doorman, butler, front desk, and Diana staff - were super friendly. They are the shining stars of this hotel.

6 days here for a conference . Was on floor 6 with Butler service. The staff could not too enough for us and the room was spacious clean and comfortable. As well as beautifully maintained . The Frette bed linen, just dreamy. Everything was perfect from the tour guide to museum (Roberto M you are great) to the incredible staff at concierge desk and gym. I’m a huge st Regis fan for ever after this stay. It is hard to be far from home comforts for work but St Regis is was truly a home from home . I felt secure even when staying on my own , and the neighbourhood is nice. Animal in ground floor is a terrific restaurant and one we went to a few times. Stunning food and friendly service . Honestly this stay was as close to faultless as it gets. Thank you everyone at St Regis you are the best at what you do and we notice every little detail

Everything was first class

I wanted to thank all the St Regis Staff in Mexico City for a truly magnificent stay for myself and my 2 young daughters. I took a recent vacation in July to explore Mexico City as well as celebrate my birthday. I stay regularly at St Regis hotels around the world, so I did expect and always receive great service, but the team at St Regis Mexico City went above and beyond to make sure our stay was magical. There was one treat after another as we were all thoroughly spoilt during our 6 night stay. Everything from in-room Glamping tents and St Regis teddies, bubble baths and rubber duckies, trays of cookies with warm milk and balloons for my young children, along with happy birthday decorations and gifts, 3 birthday cakes presented to me on my day and a surprise afternoon tea served in our room were just a few of the treats showered on us by the St Regis Butlers, Managers and Housekeeping staff. My kids were able to decorate cookies, were delighted by the pop-up candy store which appears on weekends and the kids club. Every morning at breakfast the manager knew what my children liked to eat and would bring it to the table without me asking. There are many luxury hotels to choose from which deliver exceptional service, but what stood out for me was the additional personalized attention at St Regis Mexico City which came from all the staff we interacted with whether it was hotels managers, porters, butlers or housekeeping staff. They tuned into what we needed as I travelled alone with 2 young children and without me often asking, they delivered above and beyond. I can’t thank them enough for making this such a wonderful stay. We’ll definitely be returning to St Regis Mexico City.
