"Not quite 5*"

8.0

We are currently still here, so a fresh review. Firstly the staff are polite, smart, helpful & pleasant. The infinity pool and its views are stunning. Drinks are of good quality and plentiful. Entertainment finishes at 10pm and the area gets packed and there is not enough seating. We upgraded to a premium sea view room, but although we can see the sea we actually look out over the next block down. The A La Cartes are superb and definitely worth booking ( book early) The sun loungers are very comfortable, but unfortunately it’s an early start if you want one! Rooms are lovely, modern with good air conditioning, comfy beds, a safe, a good hairdryer. ( the cleaners do knock early, and if you are not ready your room doesn’t get serviced) There is an amazing children’s pool and huge safe area away from the infinity pool, sadly most chose not to use this and we’ve ended up with noisy, out of control children around the main pool. I really would say the infinity pool & bar areas are very adult with a lovely chilled vibe, not child friendly. The main restaurant is soulless and is like a canteen, there is no atmosphere or ambience which is a real shame and lets the hotel down. Getting a table is not an issue but getting cutlery and a drink is, both morning and evening, there are definitely not enough staff. The food is of very good quality ( although, as others have said, the flys are an issue) be aware if you have allergies or intolerances as the food labels do not inform you of ingredients and the appetisers are never labelled. The beach is purely stones so beach shoes are a must. it’s most definitely not child friendly! The sea is beautiful and worth the trip down, but it’s not a pretty beach We have been informed, a late checkout will cost a 100 euros which is extortionate, so shower room it is! The pools do need a clean as yellow scum around them which is off putting, So, all in all a pleasant stay but not the 5* I was expecting sadly let down by the shortfalls I’ve highlighted.

"Wonderful stay"

10.0

Beautiful Hotel! We've just returned from a 10day stay. Amazing sea views and the infinity pool was a real pleasure to swim in. The food was outstanding with plenty of choice for everyone. Our room was above the Mediterranean restaurant which was a little disappointing as it wasn't the perfect uninterrupted view we were expecting, but we didnt really spend a lot of time in the room, the room itself was immaculate , we had a wonderful lady that kept it beautifully clean for us. Book early if you want to eat in the 2 onsite restaurants as they can get booked pretty quick, highly recommend both of them. Evening entertainment was very good. Overall it was a fantastic stay, every member of staff we met were polite, friendly and very hard working! Also a big Thankyou for the wonderful Birthday cake that was left in our room, not sure how they knew it was my birthday, but it was a lovely surprise and really delicious!

"Not worth the money and definitely not a 5 star hotel"

6.0

We were very underwhelmed considering this is supposed to be a 5 star hotel and the price we paid! The only plus for this hotel is the infinity pool even though the lifeguard spent most of his time walking up and down the pool area without even glancing at the pool!!!! The staff are disinterested (except for the buggy porters), there is a absolutely no teamwork amongst them. At breakfast we were never offered any tea/coffee. Plates were never taken from the tables, we had to sit amongst them stacking up. Not once did anyone pick up any cups or plates when we were around the pool for the day, I had to gather them together and take them to the bar throughout the day. The food in the restaurant was not covered and on numerous occasions flies had landed on it... this is a put off. The evening entertainment stopped at 10 o'clock every evening and that was it! There is absolutely nowhere to go unless you want to take a bus into town which is 20 minutes away!

"Beautiful hotel but not quite 5*"

8.0

We're just back from a week at this resort and I must say it is an absolutely beautiful hotel with outstanding views but there are a few things lacking that don't quite meet 5* standards. The thing that makes this hotel so superb is the infinity pool area; the views are just breathtaking and I would return simply for this reason which says a lot. Regarding the rooms, we paid extra for a "premium sea-front sea view room" and we were very disappointed on arrival. We were taken via buggy (nice touch) to a basement style room (you had to go down two floors, but it was still sea view, hard to explain) looking forward to the beautiful views advertised on the photos, to find that our location was overlooking the roof of the Mediterranean restaurant which was a huge patch of weeds that completely obscured the view. We spoke to reception about this immediately and they responded with "you got the room you paid for and we are fully booked so you can't move". Really quite disappointing considering we paid extra and had we just paid for a standard sea view room it likely would have been a much nicer view. The room itself was large, comfy bed, but there were things that let it down and were not 5* standard such as grubby limescale stained shower fixtures, doors that didn't shut fully, and it wasn't immaculately clean. A little dusty and grubby round the edges and there were days where the drains smelled of sewage. Usually I wouldn't highlight small things like this but considering the price and the 5* rating it's worth a mention. In general, the corridors / staircases were very dirty with bird mess everywhere, every day. There were several bird nests throughout the room corridors and it was impossible for staff to keep clean. They were incredibly loud and made the place feel dirty. Regarding the facilities, the pool is absolutely stunning and a 10/10 in terms of size, views etc. The loungers were very comfy but again up close they were stained. There were missing tiles and chlorine stains around the edges of the pool bar which again takes away that 5* element. The pool bar was great and no complaints whatsoever about the staff here, they were the best we encountered. We opted for all inclusive, and I would say it is a decent standard. Breakfast was the best meal, lunch was good but we only ate at the buffet for dinner once, mainly because we found the atmosphere of the dining hall very canteen-like, I've stayed at other 5* hotels where the atmosphere, cleanliness and layout are way more inviting. With AI you can use the Mediterranean restaurant for a very small limited buffet lunch (chips, salad, ice cream), and they also had a paid menu where you can get much nicer looking made-to-order meals. We felt the AI drinks menu was limited, but if you get friendly with the bar staff they will basically make you anything you ask. With a 7 night stay you get 2 meals at the a la carte restaurants and I would definitely recommend doing this on arrival - they were not outstanding but we did have 2 decent 4-course meals here. The location of the hotel is quite far from town - 15-minute taxi, 17 euros one-way. There were some amazing restaurants in town and it was totally worth the trip. The entertainment was your typical AI evening entertainment, live music etc, but again the hotel has a problem with atmosphere - the main bar in reception got so busy in the evening that there were not enough tables and chairs and it all felt a little awkward - people having to sit inside the bright hotel lobby or spill out over to the outdoor restaurant seating area...just felt a little clumsy and uninviting which is again why I can't rate 5 stars. In summary, I would definitely return to this hotel if I found a good deal at the right price - purely for the beautiful view, pool bar area and some staff members. I would not pay over the odds to stay here again as you could get a real 5* hotel for the same price elsewhere.

"Lovely location with breathtaking views but pests need to be addressed"

8.0

Lovely hotel and beautiful location with the potential to be five star. Staff are very friendly, welcoming and seem to care about the resort and holiday makers. Food in the a la carte restaurants was fantastic. The buffet breakfast in the main restaurant was nice and had great choice. Was disappointing that you had to purchase lunch in the pool restaurant - despite being all inclusive. The buffet lunch in the pool restaurant was the same every day and not very exciting/appetizing. The hotel has a pest control issue unfortunately. From birds nesting next to bedrooms inside the hotel through to birds in the restaurants. There is bird excrement everywhere. There is also a fly issue with flies on the buffet food in the main restaurant which is quite off putting and there are no signs whatsoever of any attempt to control these pests. Not one fly trap/killer. I just don't understand why. I think if the hotel can address their pests issues then it would significantly improve the experience for the customer.

"Excellent"

8.0

Very nice hotel, majority of staff friendly and helpful, good rooms, amazing infinity pool. Beach area very tired and overlooked, needs new walkway, umbrellas and sunbeds, a total revamp. Main bar and evening area very open and if windy like a wind tunnel so can be quite chilly in the evenings, plus insufficient seating for the size of the hotel. Main restaurant not intimate, quite cafe feel rather than restaurant unless you manage to get seated in the slightly upper small middle section. Overall enjoyed our stay but lacking certain touches expected of a 5 star hotel.

"Brilliant holiday"

10.0

I would honestly rate this hotel 10/10. Went as a couple for a relaxing holiday and got exactly that. I would recommend any couple to go here. Breathtaking views from infinity pool. great rooms, great staff, good facilities and aesthetically very nice. Overall look of hotel - 10/10 Staff - 10/10 View - 10/10 Food 11/10 Facilities 9/10 Few things to note : - Hotel is about 20 min bus journey away from kos centre okay on way to kos but on way back to hotel can be chaos as bus only comes every half hour can be hundreds of people trying to get on one bus - Book dinner reservations early - Taxis are very few are far between
