Michelangelo Resort and Spa

We stayed in Michelangelo Resort & Spa for a week in October. The hotel is excellent, the Infinity pool is a wonderful memory, together with good food and services accompanied by a very nice and friendly staff. The rooms and hotel areas are modern and clean. The hotel manager Michalis is very welcoming and we would like to thank him and all of the hotel staff who made our holiday so memorable. We look forward to staying at the Michelangelo Resort & Spa again in the future.

Even if was the end of the season and you could feel it as the resort wasn’t full and few of the staff member a bit tired after long months of working, reception very kind and helpful, we had a great time, resort felt lively and when we had evening shows atmosphere was great. Service at the lunch and dinner was very well entertained by our lovely waiter πετρο Μουτσάι due to clime changing I got a very bad cold and sore throat pain and the first Pharmacy was 10km away and our server very kind surprised me with some medicines and also made me tea at lunch time when one of his colleagues refused with the answer that they do teas just at breakfast, he also made my mum laugh at all times and heaving great chats even if he was busy or we weren’t seated in his section, he was there at all time to cherish our evening. At the bar the most signor bartender was divine as he was always happy to make us drink as we requested, he also made a fresh mint tea when he saw me being sick, lovely chats and very friendly person but I haven’t cached his name. Peter the most smiling person, his service at lunch at the pool bar and also at the evening bar was always with a great smile and even if all of them were tired you could see that he enjoys to be there for the guests, happy to give us advice regarding drinks and also makings our evenings happier. Alina, The lady at beach bar, a lovely women, very friendly with kids and trying to have a chat with all the guests around, she made our beach stay great, her drinks and chats were great. The beach is great for the sound of the waves and a bit of sun, while the pool is perfect for a quick swim and maybe some fun with a drink in hand.

Where do I start? If I had to describe the Michelangelo in one word, it would be impossible. Luxury, quality, relaxing, welcoming, spotless, gastronomy, comfortable, spectacular views, the best pool in Greece! There are too many positives and no negatives. The staff are wonderful. The location is spectacular. The rooms are so clean and comfortable. The food was outstanding in both the main buffet restaurant and both a la carte restaurants. We were there for the last week of the season which happened to coincide with half term week in the UK and so the hotel was not very crowed at all - it was very quiet but this made our stay even more special. The cocktails were amazing- excellent quality unlike some hotels offering cocktails on the All Inclusive package. I cannot recommend this hotel more. It really was exceptional.

Would highly recommend this hotel we had a great experience. Bedrooms were spotless and beds very comfy. The hotel itself has the most amazing infinity pool ever seen. What makes the hotel is the staff itself, they could not do enough for us.. Big shout out to Nina at guest relations for her attention to detail and assistance. Special thanks to michalis the hotel manager for being so people friendly and approachable at any time. Let's not forget about the food.. Was very good given that it was end of season.. The Asian restaurant was unbelievable and thank you to Mira for her constant hard work and dedication, she is a true secret star. Will deffo be back.

The staff could not do enough for us during our stay - was a lovely hotel with great facilities.

Dramatically situated with fabulous views and great swimming pools. But it all felt tinny and cheaply done. Rooms were beyond basic. And the food was truly awful.

Michelangelo is a stunning hotel with incredible views of the Aegean Sea with Turkey and other Greek islands on the horizon. Service was amazing and variety of food at the buffet was very good. The al a carte restaurants were good but didn’t wow us. It is a similar standard of food you get in the buffet (that may also show how good the food is). I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Beautiful huge infinity pool and the breakfast & dinner buffet was convenient.

The staff are great, the hotel is nicely maintained, the pools and beach area well maintained. We had an issue with the bed, which was supposed to be a King size bed, but was instead two twins side by side. Spoke with the staff about making a change to the mattress, but unfortunately were unsuccessful in making it happen. Once manager found out about the issue, he was very apologetic, and offered to move us, but as it was our last day, we decided to leave it alone. This was our second visit to the resort, the all inclusive aspect is very appealing, and the food is appealing and varied. Only other item I would mention is that they need a changing room at the beach to accommodate those who need to change their wet swimwear, without leaving the beach.

This is a perfect property for people who don’t intend to leave the resort or only go Kos town via the bus which has regular hours M-F, shortened hours on Sat, and no hours on Sunday. However, if you are the type that likes to explore, you’ll likely find that difficult here. Taxis are expensive and don’t like to take cards meaning you’ll need a lot of pocket change to travel around. The biggest issue was the inability to get smaller bills. We wanted to tip ppl but found ourselves stuck with larger bills of 10s, 20s, and 50s but no one would break them so we often couldn’t tip. We tended to tip our bartenders once a day of 10 and even once a 20 as a last resort. This is the biggest issue. Of course, you don’t need to tip but it feels wrong not to leave a euro or 2…except when you don’t have it. Overall, the resort is lovely with a wonderful staff! It’s just far from town, expensive to get taxis, and has no ability to break larger bills. Also, some of the rooms don’t have great WiFi so if you’re traveling Europe and relying on WiFi for phone connection, you’ll spend a fair amount of time in the lobby. Lastly, better rooms seem to be reserved for ppl who are booking longer stays
