KC Grande Resort Koh Chang

I’ve been to Thailand many times, but this is my first visit to Koh Chang. Arrived to the island by private driver and it’s a short drive from the ferry to KC Grand resort. Check ln was quite rushed, the lady obviously had a script that she used for every guest. She spoke so fast, just wanting to get it over with, and given English is not her first language, I couldn’t understand a word she was saying. Then after she took a breath, so told me to go wait over there and someone would take me to my room. I waited for a while, staff staring at me, finally a young girl asked if she could help me. So I explained that I’d been checked in and told to wait here, but I just wanted to go to my room. Did I need to keep waiting? She then got one of the concierge who was also just standing there, to help me to my room. It wasn’t a good start, first impressions mean everything This resort is very family focused. Lots of kids in the pool. Lots of thai families holidaying. The beach is nice, very warm water, it’s not white sand though, which I find quite funny given the name of the beach is literally “white sand beach”. I stayed in a Seaview grand deluxe, which are on the beach side of the road. The rooms are lovely and big. Bathroom is small. You can rest your head on the wall in front of you when sitting on the toilet. The Baths on the balcony are lovely. Especially when a storm rolls through, which is at least once a day at this time of year (May). There are beach towels in the room, along with umbrellas and a beach bag. The buffet breakfast is very extensive, very fresh and clean, quite impressive and the breakfast seating area is huge with some beachfront seating. The hotel restaurant has an excellent menu. There are three pools, two across the road and one beachfront. The beach front pool is huge but only has one set of small steps to get in and out. You have to walk all the way Around the pool to get in, the stairs are at the complete opposite end of the pool to the swim up bar. They have QR codes on the deck chair tables to order, but you need to create an account to order and the platform they use has errors, so you can’t create an account. So you need to go to the swim up bar to order if it’s not working. They would probably make more money if the app worked or if they had buttons to call staff to take the orders. They don’t take any orders until 11am though, which is interesting given the number of young families in the pool, where kids are always up early and ready to swim. Just an FYI if you want to go to other beaches on a songtaew public taxi truck, it’s 200 baht each trip if you are travelling on your own. No other taxi options are available, that’s it. Or hire a car for 1500-3000baht per day Overall I would stay here again, but only if I hired a car.

Wir waren zum sechsten Mal da, alleine das spricht spricht für das Hotel. Wir waren im Hill-Building auf der anderen Straßenseite. Der Verkehrslärm tagsüber stört manchmal, aber im Zimmer ist wenig zu hören, der Blick von der Obersten Etage über das Meer ist schon toll. Das Frühstück ist überragend und die Strandlage ist zum Schwimmen die Beste auf Ko Chang. Wir kommen wieder.

Good breakfast

Bad, horrible smell of sewage for our entire stay. All they did was sending cleaning team , no plumber . When we complained the manager shouted on me . We left earlier because we couldn't stand the smell. Horrible hotel and service

Es war fantastisch! Grosses Kompliment an alle! In diesem Resort stimmt von A bis Z einfach ALLES!!! Herzlichen Dank, wir kommen wieder.

There wasnt anything at all i could find fault with. We booked to Paradise Sea view bungalow and it was everything we hoped for
