Shangri-La Boracay

Location is a bit secluded, but that's what you'd want if you wish serenity and exclusivity when vacationing in Boracay outside the parties and bar-hopping, which results in an ambiance that makes you feel relaxed. Haven't tried the rooms since we only went there for dinner as a family. Value is what you'd expect from a 5-star resort: amazing food and more amazing staff. Speaking of staff, wanna shout out to Oscar and Lerex for being awesome in looking out for us. As for the food: if you're quite snobbish and particular about your pizza, lemme tell you, whoever the pizza guys in Shangri-La are, they know what they're doing. The gnocchi and the pasta are to die for, I swear. The overall quality of their ingredients really impressed me, since I'm quite picky when it comes to the cheeses, meats, sauces, and even the olive oli that's being used. After dinner, me and my fiancée just hung out on the beach, admiring the orange and red hues of the sky after sunset, and just found ourselves immersing in the experience of just sitting around, admiring the view and each other's company. Shangri-La aesthetically speaking has this Oriental vibe to it that's trying to blend various cultures in the way their infrastructure looks like, to which I must say that their infinity pools, villas strewn across the hill, a kickass gazebo (?) on top of a rock, and the Disneyland-esque theme of it all is giving a distinctive edge of what to expect from a resort's theme. My verdict as a first-time visitor. I'd come back for their rooms. A bit pricey but I know it'll be worth saving up for.

We enjoyed a beautifully quiet dinner right beside the beach, accompanied by soft, relaxing music that set the perfect mood. ​The Highlights: ​The Food: Everything was delicious, but the pasta was a standout—definitely a must-try! ​The Atmosphere: Very serene and relaxing, making it the perfect spot for a family to unwind. ​The Service: A huge thank you to Oscar and Lerex. They provided excellent service and made sure our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable. ​We highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for great food and a tranquil atmosphere in Boracay!

Requested to move to Garden villas which were very nice.

A very noisy adjacent hotel. The tree top villas are not worth the additional cast and the configuration makes no sense with an external staircase linking the ground floor bedroom with the lounge area above. Not private and no way of privacy from the lounge to the adjacent villa.

A peaceful, family-friendly resort with a relaxing atmosphere, excellent service, and attentive staff, making every stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Public transport to the mall area is a bit pricey; however, you can also wait for the free shuttle service.
