Silver Sands Beach Hotel

I’m here again for 5 weeks and not much change staff as normal superb Reception can’t do enough for you so helpful and MAKIS and arif in around the bar area always ready to assist or serve you in any way which complements my holiday

Great location, hotel could do with a room uplift bit dated in bathroom but usable. Room cleaned daily but on two occasions no towels left .quickly resolved by reception . Food ok not always hot , we did eat out at times option available to exchange dinner for lunch on a H/B package . Bit annoying at dinner when at times you had nearly finished your meal and were still waiting on a drink, no options to help yourself to water at buffet sections during dinner or lunch just breakfast. Nice gesture given by hotel on my partners birthday they delivered a bottle of wine and fruit to our room . Would return to this hotel even with minor issues. Overall had a pleasant stay .

Another wonderful stay in a wonderful hotel. Staff, food, cleanliness all fantastic. 3 star hotel and more. A special mention to the bar staff Kwstas, Yovko, Nikki and Makis. If you're down by the pool or in the reception bar these guys go over and above to make your stay special. Thank you guys a million times ❤️ Roll on the next time to the part of paradise 😍🤣

A brilliant stay once again at Silver Sands. I stayed for 10 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel is situated on the beach, I stayed on the 4th floor with a fantastic view of Fig Tree Bay. I went half board the breakfast and evening buffets were nice with a great choice and selection. Reception staff very helpful and friendly. Special thanks to Kwstas, Yovko and Nick at the beach bar and Makis at the reception bar you guys are the best I can’t thank you enough you go above and beyond every time Bravo 👏 . I will see you all soon again ❤️

You can see and understand why this Hotel remains a 3 star, I`m probably the worst critic, having worked most of my life in the Hospitality Industry, seam to be a complete lack of management, Food service.. you often got your meal and then had to wait a few minutes, for cutlery to arrive, this was the same with drinks, you often ended up receiving your drink, as you were finishing your meal, A head of service should be appointed to meal times .. Cleaning done daily, however we often had 0 toilet rolls, or no towels, on two occasions, Some more attention to detail, cleaning wise, wouldn`t go a miss .. on the day of departure, we extend the room to 3pm, at 2:30 we had some very rude people, banging on the door, to let them in, then shouting, we were in their room get out, twice the bar closed early, once at 10:50pm, after the barman, seamed to walk off after getting stressed .. beach towels was a daily lottery .. All of this relates to poor management, and lack of attention to detail, Which could be fixed.. Location fantastic, food great, drinks fine, selection of local beers and wine, and a nice choice of cocktails .. you cant hear the strip, unless you are sleeping with the patio door open, would any of my issues actually put me off going back NO, however I would like to hope some of these details were fixed

Just returned from our trip to Cyprus. Ignore the negative reviews. It’s a 3 star hotel and you get what you expect and more. The staff are an absolute asset to the hotel with special shout outs to Kwstas, Makis, Yovko and Nikki. Always there to make sure you’re having a good time and to look after all their guests. Hotel is also in a perfect location on the beach with lots to offer on its doorstep. Never any issues with getting a sunbed on the hotel grounds although weekends can get a little busy which is to be expected.

My husband and I stayed at the Silver Sands Beach Hotel in Protaras at the beginning of June. We have very good impressions of the hotel, and the best to the wonderful girls at the reception, in order they are all first, although I had to mention them alphabetically: Magda, Marijana, Mikela, Lucy and Natalija. We had a lovely time , amazing location , beautiful view and awesome staff member specially Makis and Costa thanks to them we did enjoyed every minute of this trip Will definitely recommend it

First-off, we have to say a massive thank you to the staff. All work tirelessly, and do it with a smile on their face. Food was excellent, with a really good choice - something for everyone. Theme nights were good - Asian being our favourite. Entertainment is OK - The singer on Saturday night, and the two girls on Friday were really enjoyable (if you fancy a chilled night away from the strip). Location is second to none. Right on the beach front, and just a few steps away from the amazing Fig Tree Bay. The main strip in Protaras is just up the road about 200m away, where you can enjoy a really good range of entertainment, (Freddie Morecurry a particular favourite) Rooms are a little dated, but cleaned daily by the very friendly staff. Drinks are OK - the main problem we found was with the mixers (Coke, Sprite etc). Not enough syrup leaves them tasting like slightly sweetened soda water, which in-turn means the cocktails or spirits aren't the best. (we went to the supermarket, just up the road and used our own, bottled coke/Sprite) Never had any problems getting beds by the pool - we were there for the Cypriot Bank Holiday (6th- 9th June), which was very busy, but outside of that, there were always beds available, with a really nice chilled-out feel to the days. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and will no doubt return very soon. Room For Improvement:- 1. Bathrooms are in need of a re-fit - although cleaned, they could look a bit grubby. 2. More syrup in the mixers - this will improve most drinks. 3. Somehow move toilets onto ground level where the bar is - it is a bit of a pain/slight creepy going down to -1 to the Loos. 4. Egg station/cooking station for meats - this was sadly missing in this hotel. Everything was brought out fresh & hot, but with for instance the fried eggs, these were over-cooked, (also no omelette option at breakfast). 5. Consistency with towels - each day was a bit of a lottery with regards to what you get in your room, (some days none, some days 2 bath mats & no hand towels, some days 3 bath sheets, no hand or bath mats). However, none of the above really affected our stay - We'll still be back, and soon! Once again a massive thank you to all the staff - the new management are clearly working extremely hard to get this place back on-course (following the negative reviews last year). All I can say is, give this place a chance - I think it is well on it's way to greatness.

Great hotel and staff, just few small problems when we arrived, the safe would not open went to the reception explained the situation and she rang the maintenance man. By the time I got back to the room he was waiting for me. The food was excellent and a good range of drinks on the A.L. menu. Makis the bar man was very happy and smiling all the time, very entertaining chap.
