Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, buffet breakfast, helpful staff, great location with river views. Good value. Travelled with a 7 year old, all went very smoothly.

Very little English. Hotel needs refurbishment. As another guest commented - never have I been charged for soap in any hotel. There was nothing in the bathroom at all. Taxis had difficulty in finding Hotel. Breakfast not very good for westerners. Would not recommend. Plenty of other choices.

Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was the same everyday (BORING). The area is not too convenient.Though it's situated on the main road it's hard to get taxis in the evenings. Not many options for food (if you're not a chinese). There is a terrible french/european resto nearby. Ordered a pasta and it came half cooked. Beijinng lu is a 10-15mins walk. Overall it was just alright. Would not stay here again.

If you are looking for an affordable nightly rate hotel with 4 stars services and room ammenities, Bai Ling Hotel will make every penny worthy for a budget savvy business traveller like me. I've stayed for 3 night in the mini room. The hotel located less than 2km from the whosale markets, walking distance to the ferry jetty, majestic riverview at night and less than 10 minutes taxi ride to nearby tourist spots, you won't be stuck in the room for very long. The room is clean and comes with modest ammenities. Bed is clean and comfy, and the towels are changed daily. Breakfast is modest but delicious. Staffs are friendly and the front desk could speak basic english should you need help. I found that it is safe to explore the nearby areas even at night. I'll definitely will return to this hotel on my next trip.

Good location if you want to be near Beijing Rd. Is about 20min from the newer area of town. Staff were nice, spoke english and were helpful. We had a river view room. The room was large and clean except the bathroom which had the dirtiest shower curtain I have ever seen!

This hotel was nicer than expected. Most comments on similar websites state that staff lacks English and so on. People please. This hotel is located in China not in Disneyland nor near the Thames river in London. If you go to a non-English speaking country try at least to bring a dictionary with you. Don't expect the world to kneel to your Anglo-presence. We were welcomed by a very friendly staff ( like in many parts of China ). "Lemon" was the kindest and most helpful receptionist ever. Great location. Great restaurant. Clean and secure and very comfortable.

This hotel was a welcome haven after a long day's travel. We had booked a deluxe river view room and this fully met expectations, with views both ways along the river, a spectacular sight at night with buildings, bridges and cruise boats all lit up in bright colours. The bed was huge, one of the biggest I have seen, and to Western standards (i.e. not too firm). The hotel can be reached by walking from Haizhu Square metro station though we made the mistake of arriving during the evening of the Moon Festival and hence the streets were very crowded. There was one disappointment, in my opinion a major one. The room was not provided with any sort of toiletries, not even soap. As we were informed while checking in, you could purchase a toiletries pack at the desk. I have never come across this sort of thing before in any hotel, let alone a 4-star hotel in a top location. I would still recommend the hotel because of its location and overall high standard - just be warned that soap is extra.

Room is clean and quiet. I got the good price for the mini room. The location of the hotel is very convenience to me, close the nearby shopping center and food court. And the most important is the room is even though small but it's very comfortable and clean.
