Grand Hotel Dream Frankfurt City

The room was a little small, but adequate for an overnight stay. Actually, the hotel is centrally located for Frankfurt. There was some noise outside of my room as it overlooked the parking lot for the hotel (persons arguing, and a poor-looking view). However, the bar is open 24 hours and the breakfast was fabulous! The desk manager and respective associates were kind, accommodating, and always pleasant. Please do take a spell at the Grand Hotel Dream.

i don't think this hotel was situated in the nicest part of town. it was in a bit of a back alley and as a female traveller by myself i must say i didn't feel quite safe walking by myself. it is near all the shops and train station isn't too far away so it is in a convenient location, but was not for me. as for the decor...i felt like i was in a trashy retro hotel. the bright red building might have given away what it would be like inside, but at least it was clean. the view of my room looked out to a car park and the back of other buildings, so not the prettiest sight and the windows had spikes on the outside, so again maybe not the safest area.

Great hotel that's very close to everything in the Heart of Berlin. My only problem with the hotel was that the AC didn't really crank, and I was on the 5th floor, where the Wi-Fi connection wouldn't work at all. =/

Their Internet access wasn't working for me. =( I was placed on the 5th floor and my laptop wasn't detecting any signal or a very weak one with the Wi-Fi. That's very important for me while travelling to be able to keep in touch with family & friends back home while being able to work as well. So that kind of put a major damper on my stay as travelling solo. Room was clean and decently accessorized along with nice flat panel Lcd screen and iPhone/Mp3 Dockable Desktop Alarm. The Air Conditioning I would say needs servicing as it was quite weak. =/ Their complimentary breakfast is also great, except the rule of not being able to bring any food back to rooms. =/ -Ali G.

I hate paying more and not getting a good value. Instead, we received a poor room with bad design, poor cleanliness and a poor location overall. This hotel is not a 4 star hotel by European standards and I'm surprised to see it billed as such. The lobby and reception desk are cluttered with stuff to sell and paperwork. Our reservation took a while to find. We were sent to a small room with twin beds instead of a double room with double bed. Then we were given a small room with a double bed. The room was set up for a single. The extra duvet given to us later looked like it came out of the dirty laundry. The door to the bathroom was a sliding glass door that did not provide privacy. The door and the shower (no tub) needed scrubbing. The decor is very dated with a touch of hideousness. The room was lit by the two bed-side reading lamps, which were very bright and worked together. No option for just one person to have light (unless removing a bulb) and no option for ambient light. We didn't mind the paper thin walls until the vacuuming started in the morning. The establishment is really dreaming if it thinks it is close to a 3 star hotel. We were very disappointed with our choice. There are a lot more hotels in Frankfurt to choose from.

There are only 2 things that I was missing to have made my stay perfect: 1. central air conditioner (there was only a fan in my room) 2. comfortner with feathers (mine was with foam)

Immediate neighborhood not to great but safe. Only complaint was no air conditioning but there was a fan in the room which made it tolerable. Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitley stay here again.

Not sure how it got rated but this is a 3-star hotel at best. It makes other 4-star hotels look increadible next to it. It's average for the decor, service, and the breakfast is not very good. My room faced the road that had the noisy crowd that seem to hang out or walk by every night. It did not matter if my window was closed, I could hear them. The hotel is not easy to find if you don't know where you are going. It is located a block away from a cool neighbourhood and shopping streets.

The Grand Hotel Dream is just on the edge of the main shopping district; literally two minutes' walk from Konstablerwache U-bahn station. It's clean, modern, but not flash. Staff were courteous and helpful. Neighbourhood is a tiny bit seedy, but more in a way that is interesting / Bohemian than anything to be worried about. Definitely worth the price.

That may be a confusing statement, but it is true. The hotel itself was very nice, however the area that it is in is not nice at all.
