"Don't waist your money"

4.0

This Hotel appears to be on its last legs, in major need of maitenance and/or refurbishment. The room was large and well appointed with a good view of the beach which is the only positive for this Hotel. There appears to be only the minimum number of staff working and apart from one helpful lady on reception, other staff offer no assistance. Room was not cleaned or made up until after 3.30pm each day which at times was difficult as we would return back from the beach etc only to stand out in the hall until the room was finished. Although free WiFi is advertised, they have blocked the main communication networks. No air conditioning in the foyer, hall ways or restaurant, only in the rooms. Breakfast was very poor and absolutely no service at the pool or bar area. During our 3 weeks in Vietnam, this was by far the worst hotel we stayed in.

"Can you see The Light"

8.0

My family had a nice time. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good (but it would be better if it officially finished at 9:30 instead of 9:00 am. I don't want to wake up at 8 everyday on vacation. The deluxe room and bathroom were large and comfortable. The curtains didn't block the light very well but maybe you early risers don't mind. It's great being across the road from the beach but that road is always very noisy, smelly (from thousands of scooters) and dangerous to cross. Very good hotel for the price.

"Average 3star beach hotel"

6.0

Located on the beach, geared towards Vietnamese clients it seems. Generously sized beds and rooms (2 queens per room), tired bathroom. A little bit overpriced, however straight there on the beach. The town itself is smallish, with average restaurant offerings but the air quality is amazing, so if you have any respiratory issues you would appreciate that the windows in this hotel could be opened and you can have healingly fresh air at night. If you arrive early they will try to offer you an upgrade room they claim to have available for some extra dongs. Politely decline, have your valuable stored with them and take a stroll on the beach. The storage process is an amazing archaic process - pack everything with tape and bubble wrap, sign here and there, issue baggage cards, sign again, and finally store).

"The Light Hotel in Nah Trang January/February 2012"

8.0

We stayed 13 nights and although it was sheer bedlam fo a couple of days. during Tet it soon quietened down. The main drawback was crossing Tran Phu the main duai carriageway to get to the beach and it was a non stop stream of scooters but that was the same everywhere as there were no hotels beachside, Happy with the hotel but not so sure about Nha Trang. All the scooters and rickshasw parked on the pavement and made some places completely inaccesable. You could only get about by walking on the road which got very irritating at times

"The Light Hotel and Resort Nha Trang Vietnam"

8.0

A great beachfront location on the main strip of Nha Trang. Further away from the main hotels such as the Novatel, Sheraton etc but directly opposite the Louisiane Brewhouse (great food and a relaxing atmosphere here). Taxi's were located right out the front of reception and a great number of reasonably priced restaurants and mini marts were within a small and easy, two to three block walk. Bigger shopping facilities for groceries etc (for Beer O'Clock by the pool) were a taxi ride away. Expect to pay between 35-60,000 VND. We stayed on NYE which incurred a compulsory charge, so we stayed here for dinner while all the bigger action occurred about 800m up the road. NYE food was good, entertainment was not so great - reminded us of an average school performance or a audition session for Asian Idol. All main tourist attrcations were easily accessible (Mud Baths, Vinpearland etc). Note: Vinpearland has good water slide facilities but the rides etc are quite dated. All in all a very pleasing experience.

"Average hotel, okay location"

8.0

The room was big and clean and it was a decent location. Pool was small and nothing special. Tour agency in the front lobby was very helpful in booking our mud bath/hot springs/pool tours, bus commute from Nha Trang to Mui Ne, and the 4 Bien Tour (4 oceans, islands tour). I think 4 Bien group tour is worth it for $5-8 per person, it's an all day event and many tourists go on this tour. It's a lot of fun. Instead of purchasing the mud bath tour, I would recommend to get a taxi there yourself and pay for the mud bath tour so that you don't have a time limit since there is a time constraint when you go with a tour guide (3 hrs). The hotel is right across from the Louisane Brewery which is an nice restaurant which we didn't really go to, but we walked to the Sailing club which was pretty jammin! It's a nice place for drinking on the beach front. GREAT music for dancing around 10pm until 2 or so in the morning.
