The Light Hotel

Rooms are spacious. Hotel is in a convenient location, on the beach strip but in a quieter section. Food is nothing to write home about. Staff is pleasant but still learning about customer service, which is what you will find throughout Vietnam.

I DON'T THINK IT IS A RESORT AT ALL. JUST A 3 STAR HOTEL. IT REMINDED ME OF AN INDOCHINA TYPE OF HOTEL WITH FURNITURE IMITATING ANTIQUE STYLES. THE ROOM IS SPACIOUS WITH GOOD VIEWS OF OCEAN SIDES & CITY. THE BEACH IS CLOSED BY WITH EASY ACCESS TO TAXI. THE BATHROOM IS OLD WITH RUN DOWN WATER AROUND THE TUB DOWN TO THE FLOOR THAT NEEDED TO BE FIXED & THE STAFF TOLD US TO SIT DOWN WHEN TAKING SHOWER INSTEAD OF FIXING IT RIGHT. WE THEN ASKED TO SWITCH TO ANOTHER ROOM WHICH WAS OK. THE HOTEL NEEDS TO KEEP THEIR AIR CONDITIONING ON AT ALL TIMES. OURS WERE TURNED OFF OFTEN & IT GOT VERY HOT THAT WE HAD TO ASK FOR HELP TO RESET THE AIR CONDITIONING A FEW TIMES. OF COURSE TIPS WERE GIVEN EVERY TIME. THE BUFFET MEALS WERE NOT SO GOOD. FOODS & COFFEE WERE LUKE WARM NOT HOT AT ALL. I HAD THE IMPRESSION THAT ELECTRICITY WAS CONSERVED TO THE MAX HERE.

My family spent two nights at The Light Hotel in September 2011. The Hotel is in a wonderful position just opposite Nha Trang beach. The staff were very polite and helpful during our stay and assisted us with tours and flights to our next destination. Buffet breakfast was great every morning and the cafe down stairs serves great snacks and drinks. The swimming pool was a great way to cool off each day. The Hotel was good value and we would stay here again.

We really enjoyed our time here, it really is on the beach which is just accross road, also beautiful restaurant over road Brew house is a must!. Nice pool and poolside service. Crazy Kims bar with cocktail buckets and watering cars worth a try too.

The only thing we had problems with at this hotel is the aircon which stopped working a couple of times and needed attention but did not sufficiently cool the room. We asked for a fan and that made things more comfortable. Front desk staff good at organising cheaper taxi travel and advice on how to get to places. They saved us money that we would have spent if we used to travel agent in the foyer. Near a great beach. Nice swimming pool. There is a very nice restaurant across the road and things happening on the beach. Would stay there again.

The hotel is getting a bit tide due to its age but is clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly, especially when you practice your Vietnamese on them. The pool is small but we did not use it as the beach is just across the road. The buffet breakfast was good without being fancy. When we arrived they had up graded us to superior deluxe and when we decided to stay 3 more nights, negotiated to stay in the same rooms for the same rate. Great options too eat in every direction and varied.

This is a nice hotel just down the road from the main tourist area. It is clean, and the buffet breakfast has a fair selection. More a family hotel, however singles can have a good time here also. Staff have enough English to comunicate, and rooms were very clean.

We had a good stay in this hotel over all. Our VIP room had a great view! The only thing the hotel should be considering about is to not allow smoking in public areas. For people like us who is suffering from astma this became a big problem!

even the 5 star hotels in town are NOT on the beach. you just have to cross the road. sandy beach, clear waters. so why pay for a 5 star? this hotel has good rooms.

May be located in one of the best location in Nhatrang, but i found most staff here are not very friendly, probably overworked?
