Candlewood Suites Buffalo Amherst by IHG

I love everything about this hotel, this is my 3rd stay here and will return again. its, clean, the front desk people is exceptionally nice and the location is great.

generally good experience

The room was nice, the staff was very friendly, but.....they only cleaned the room once a week.....I stayed there 12 nights. Had to go down to the front desk to get clean towels. Ran out of toilet paper twice. The place just wasn't managed very well.

I was incredibly disappointed with my stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that cleanliness and professionalism were not priorities here. The lobby and common areas felt unkempt and outdated, and there was an unpleasant odor throughout. The front desk experience was alarming. The receptionist was dressed in sweatpants and a casual t-shirt—definitely not what I expect from a professional IHG property. Honestly, I wasn’t even sure he actually worked there. He looked like he had just come from the gym and seemed totally clueless about basic procedures. While he was friendly, the lack of professionalism was unsettling. The room itself was no better. It was outdated and felt dirty. The fridge had visible stains inside, the bathroom was unclean, and overall it did not meet even basic cleanliness standards. This is not the level of quality I expect from any hotel, let alone an IHG property. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel. There are better, cleaner, and more professionally run options in the area. This was a disappointing and uncomfortable experience.

Staff was nice. They let us check in at 1:15 pm because we had to get dressed for a funeral. Air conditioner wasnt working good in the bedroom. We called about it nobody never came to check on it. Things could have been cleaner around the hotel and I didnt realize when booking they didnt have continential breakfast. I dont feel it's worth the money paid. .

Elevators were quick.

Traveled with a child in a wheelchair. Requested a 1st floor room. The hotel said they were unaware of the request. Because, it came through a 3rd party. I went through Booking.com. A/C was terrible. Unit kept shutting off every 5 mins. The thermostat temperature was in correct and worked on a motion sensor. The bedroom was cut off from the unit. There was a small mechanical fan that was ineffective. 2 horrible nights of sleep. This is my 1st negative critique of any hotel ever.

The Hotel was convenient, close to supermarkets and shopping centers. Gym and laundry facility within the hotel excellent

Location to shopping

Old motel nearby makes whole area look bad. No hooks in bathroom to hang towel or clothes or robe on near shower.
