Easy to get In to the central town

The breakfast was shocking poor!! Waited for all aspects of food, from bacon, eggs, sausages etc to come out of the kitchen…. Just got told countless times… be here In a minute!!! Lots of other people fuming….

Location

First room had one of a pair of curtains and badly rippled carpets, and breakfast was the worst breakfast we have ever had in a hotel with almost everything empty and a 25 minute wait for things to be restocked and a poor attitude from restaurant manager

Room service We tried ordering food but there was no food available When leaving in the morning there was a strong smell of cannabis in the hall way A cleaner came into our room at 13.20 to clean we were booked in to 2pm as we paid for late check out it was a good job the cleaner could not see around the corner as I was naked

Location

The room was extremely tired and not in keeping with the hotel star rating. The breakfast was appalling. There was never a full selection of products available at any one time making it impossible to eat a proper English breakfast. When there was bacon there weren’t eggs or hash browns. When there were eggs there wasn’t bacon or beans and so it went on.

We stayed Fri 5th Dec for 2 nights. On first impressions the hotel looked lovely Reception was nice and check in easy. We booked a executive suite with city view, (we overlooked the railway) we were on the 18th floor. Lifts worked well. The room itself was very spacious, furniture old and tatty and in need of upgrading as was the carpet which felt very thin and was stained in several places, the bed wasn't great and again needs upgrading. The air-conditioning was hit and moss, first night was cold and 2nd night boiling. The bathroom was lovely and modern. We had drinks in the bar on the 1st floor, bar staff not overjoyed to see you and could be friendlier. Food options are diabolical and pretty non existent (burgers only) hence we had to go out to eat. Breakfast was OK but food not very hot, all your usual choice at a breakfast buffet. Location of this hotel is perfect for a city stay.
