Vangelis Hotel & Suites

We had a great time. The staff were all very polite and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean and the breakfast offered a wide variety.

⸻ We stayed at Vangelis Hotel in Protaras as a family of four (two kids aged 16 and 11) and absolutely loved it. The location couldn’t be better, right in the heart of Protaras with Fig Tree Bay, shops, restaurants, and the beach just a short walk away. It really gave us the chance to enjoy everything the area has to offer. The hotel itself is spotless and very modern. Our family room was spacious, cleaned daily, and always had fresh towels thanks to the attentive housekeeping staff. Everything worked perfectly, and we were really comfortable throughout our stay. The food options were excellent. The buffet had plenty of variety to suit everyone, and the pool/snack bars were great. The à la carte restaurant was a highlight – honestly some of the best food I’ve had in a hotel, well worth booking for at least one night. The staff deserve a special mention: always smiling, helpful, and clearly doing their best to look after guests. The gym was one of the best I’ve seen in a hotel, and even the public toilets were spotless – something many other places could learn from. Overall, we had a brilliant stay and would not hesitate to come back if we return to Protaras. Highly recommended!

This was the first time I went to an all-inclusive holiday with my family. 8 years old boy and 16 years old girl. They had the best time. The animators ( Peter, Lili) were great to entertain us with playing ping-pong, darts, archery. Also the evening shows were good. The food was excellent and if we closed the door we couldn't hear the noise from outside. We had the best time.

Very nice location and the conditions was great. The personal was nice, especually Mr. Dheeraj. I will come back next year.

Amazing all round family hotel, the location could not be better, it's right on the Protoras strip and we couldn't feel safer. Of course, at your own risk, but we've left valuables and nobody is bothered. Approx 5min walk to a lovely beach and plenty of surrounding beaches within walking distance. Pool area is always very clean, the staff are extremely friendly and attentive, above all, so helpful. The entertainment during the day is great, very welcoming with the kids and something to do all day. Night time entertainment starts around 8.30, the area isn't big and can fill up quite quickly, recommend getting there before 8.30 but there wasnt anything special on. Your best bet is heading out locally and enjoying the sport or a vast amount of cover bands. We've came during summer holidays so its expected to be busy, there's a no reserving sun loungers pre 9am, this is not enforced, we would suggest going down around 8.30am and placing your towels, at this time you will expect 50% to be taken already, follow the sun and choose your beds wisely as 3pm comes half the beds are covered by the tall hotel buildings. Coming from reception, mainly choose the beds on the left hand side, depending on your child's age and swimming abilities you want to stay closer to reception side (good swimmers) closer to the pool bar for less advanced swimmers. The rooms are great for a 4 star hotel, we had zero complaints, the cleaners done a thorough job and you can select an option for 'please clean' and 'no cleaning required'. Amenities locally include a bus stop literally on the door step, many restaurants providing a smorgasbord of cuisine, plenty of gift shops, bars and everything you'd expect. The restaurant is ran extremely efficient, you'll need to see it to believe it, by far the most prolific part of the experience. Food, absolutely no complaints, a great selection all the way from soups to desserts, plenty of choice for the children. With thanks to Dheeraj (Reception) checked us in and helped us along the way with all our requests. Peter (animation) excellent with the kids and very friendly. Rukesh and Karolis (Bar staff) know their stuff and good with the young ones, keep an eye out for Rukesh, the most friendly man on the planet. Lastly Kyrios (Robola) fine dining restaurant, in which you can use once per stay (included) what a nice guy, this is the ideal job for him, less important than his service, the food was 10/10, great selection for a fine dining establishment. As a family, we would strongly recommend staying here, for sure, we will return with welcome. Peter (animation) & my son attached.

Owing to family issues, I was late joining the family who had arrived several days earlier. As is apparently their policy, TUI had instructed the hotel to class me as a "no show" and cancelled my holiday package. Staff at the Vangelis were amazing and went way above and beyond to resolve this issue and find me what was excellent accommodation. Particular huge thanks and recognition must go to Dheeraj and Markella who were both incredible and a true credit to Vangelis. Vangelis itself is excellent quality and every aspect from the food to the accommodation and amazing staff was outstanding. It's ideally located being very close to the Mediterranean and literally in the middle of all central life in Protaras. Despite this, it's still very private and peaceful. Had the most amazing stay at The Vangelis , just for a week with two young daughters 10,7. Knew it would be something special when we were met at the door on arrival by the porter , who took our luggage of us , and provided some cool drinks . The room was spotless and huge , the bedroom was like something you would see in a high end magazine. The facilities are amazing , food was amazing choice , girls were totally safe in going to the various snack bars etc and getting their own drinks and snacks. Never wanted the holiday to finish , we are booking this weekend for next year , but will be staying longer.

Went to the spa and paid for an Indian head massage and it was honestly the best massage I have ever had. Hoping to go again before we leave as was just that good, feeling very relaxed and sleep right now €50 euros for 40 minutes and worth every penny

We have just returned from a week in the Vangelis hotel and we cannot fault this hotel one bit. The rooms are well laid out and spacious for family's. We loved the sliding doors that separated the rooms. And WOW!!! The bathrooms are amazing. The cleaners do a brilliant job in keeping the rooms clean but to be honest ALL of the staff are a credit to how well this hotel is run and kept immaculate. Big shout out to Alex, the restaurant team and both pool bar staff, they are soooo friendly I really enjoyed learning Cypriot from them. Especially Alex who taught me a bit each time we came to the restaurant. I would also like to give a shout out to the restaurant Manager (sorry but I forgot his name) every day he would come and say hello and ask how we were. And on our last day came over and shook my hand and said thank you.....it should be us thanking you all for a great and pleasant stay. The food is varied with something to suit everyone. They have a theme night every night which is good. Liked the fact that even though it is all inclusive it does not feel like a canteen service. Loved the fact you are taken to a table and then served drinks rather than it being a free for all. Pool area is amazing with plenty of sun loungers. It is kept very clean and tidy and really like the fact that the life guards check and remove towels if they have been there unattended longer than 60mins. Very efficient. We stopped in room 4305 as we paid for pool view. But please be aware that some of the rooms face the main road and strip of bars so you could have some noise from that. Request block D as this is at the back of the complex. For us the only let down was the night time entertainment where the external acts are not the best we have seen. However you are right on the main strip so can easily go out to a local bar. There is a pool table, ping pong table and dart board that you have the use of. The beach is literally 5 mins over the road and there is a great bus service just outside that can take you to Ayia Napa for a couple of euros.
