Vangelis Hotel & Suites

Such a beautiful hotel room 1308 amazing large with beach view great location with lots restaurants bars etc breakfast amazing pool kids friendly and separate adults pool beach across the road path 2 minute walk we will return again and recomend to family and friends we had the best time

On arrival, we were greeted by friendly receptionists, we were booked in quickly and went to our room 2406, which was beautiful, having a sea view and main street view. The cleaners came every day and were very efficient. We sat around the adults pool, plenty of beds for July and the pool guys were pleasent and served you quick. The restaurant was really nice, Alex who ran it military style was excellent at his job, he got stuck in and helped everyone out, he was good with all the servers, also he was nice with the children, I also saw him helping out in the pool bar. The let down was the food, it was stews and ribs, some joints of meat which went quickly, and then they brought the ribs out again. The Entertainment was the pits. It was A/I, and that was why people stayed in, men running up with answers like big kids on music quiz night. There were a few singers on the strip which we preferred. The Hotel made my holiday as I was not a big fan of Protaris. If I ever returned, it would be for a short break to this hotel.

We are here now. Hotel rooms good, food is normal self-catering cooked and hot though. So you won't starve. Staff lovely. Bad points we use the over 18s pool, the problem is it's full of kids and the life guard does nothing to remove them so it's not the relaxing pool it's meant to be. The hotel is full if ignorant Polish people though. We complained and so did many others about the kids in the over 18s pool. Don't come here if you want to relax at a pool. It can't be done.

Lovely helpful and friendly staff. Very clean. Beautifully decorated. The food was pretty good, although, as a vegetarian, the choice could have been better and labelled clearly. The hotel is just a short walk from the beach. There is a steep hill to the beach, which may be tricky for less able people. You can hire sunbeds and parasols for 2.50 each on the beach. Despite being on the strip, the hotel was very quiet at night. Comfortable beds. Spacious room.

The accomodation, room, the staff were amazing. The pool was very clean and nice. All the members of Staff were very nice, especially waiters, barmans, receptionists and animators. Animations were very nice. The food was average, so that's why I can not give 5. tp The nearest beach there is approx. 500 meters.

We had a lovely holiday at Vangelis. Hotel is in an excellent position on the strip and near the beach. The hotel is clean and well maintained and our one bedroom suite was spacious and well laid out. Apart from not being given the app info on check in every staff member was fantastic and treated us with care and efficiency. Alex in the restaurant was a brilliant host and Rukesh in the pool bar was the jolliest person who really enhanced the holiday. We enjoyed the all inclusive cocktails and the food was particularly good at breakfast and on Cyprus night. The Animation Team really made our holiday. From the mini disco to archery, from vigorous games of water polo to relaxing yoga and not forgetting the daily aqua aerobics the animation team worked hard and were super friendly all day starting with the Macarena at 10am and finishing with the music quiz or karaoke at 10pm. Piotro, Lili, Kamil and Anastasia really live the spirit of the Vangelis which is great customer service and efficiency.

First time to Protaras and absolutely loved it, we will be back but just not to this hotel which is a shame because it does have many positives. Family room was great but massively lacks storage. The bathroom used to get absolutely flooded so constantly using towels to soak it up. We were all inclusive & we found the food just average really, it was never hot. Thought they would have had pancakes for breakfast especially for kids & even fresh omelettes. There just wasn’t enough choice. The snack bar is the worst we've ever come across in an all inclusive hotel, everything is just pre-made & warmed up. The exact same food every day at the snack bar. Should also have more than just ice cream during the day, maybe crepes etc would be a good touch. Cocktails don’t taste anything like they’re supposed to, I only found 1 drink that I liked! Evening entertainment in our opinion & other people’s was shocking, unfortunately the worst we’ve seen. The area is no where near big enough & the sound system is also very poor. Micheal Jackson act who just mimes, female vocalist who you couldn’t hear sing but also not very good, fire show boring, dance show boring. I could go on. Not one show kept us staying in the hotel on a night. The hotel itself is beautiful & clean, great staff etc & perfect location but food & entertainment let it down. The main pool also isn’t big enough for the amount of guests, especially in the peak months. I think if the entertainment was to be better & the food/drinks then we would definitely consider it again.

We sadly go home tomorrow but what a fabulous time we have had here. Food has been lovely, rooms all good, service top notch. No sun lounger issues either. Would definitely return loved our stay.

Just got back and this is probably one of the better places I’ve stayed at. A good hotel in a great location. Close enough to the main strip (50 metres or so) for convenience with plenty of bars and souvenir shops but we couldn’t hear any of the noise. A 5 minute walk to a stunning beach. The food was above average with plenty of choice at mealtimes, although the planned evening meal themes didn’t always seem to materialise! Saturday’s tex-mex night didn’t have any tex-mex food for example. The once per stay Italian restaurant was good, I recommend the tomato soup and carbonara. The staff were great and the entertainment seemed ok although we didn’t use it much. There maybe wasn’t quite enough sunbeds but the pool lifeguard did remove towels on a few days. Room was a decent size but the bathroom had a glass door and wall which was fine but a bit strange (see pic). The room comes with a free safe and aircon. The only thing we could really fault was that we couldn’t find a decent setting for the aircon at night. The lowest setting was still quite cold and a touch louder than I would have liked, even set at 23 degrees. Overall I would definitely stay here again.

We had an amazing time in this hotel it was so fun specially the entertainment team my. Daughter loved them it took 4 and not out of 5 cause the room were smaller than the the picture but when we visit Cyprus again and go to protaras we will go to this hotel the breakfast was repetitive but good especially the waffles that you can customise overall it was an amazing stay
