My wife and I were on a cross country trip and stayed at the Salt Lake City Downtown Hyatt Place for two nights. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and very quiet (although we had to turn on the room air to drown out some night time city noise that could be heard through the windows). The hotel provided breakfast with many choices, but on one of the days, some items were not replenished very quickly and were empty, but that happens at most hotels. We appreciated a large gym with a decent amount of equipment.

Location was good, Staff friendly.

Breakfast was average. Cereals were all sugary. But MAJOR problem was I booked and paid for 5 days through booking,com. The hotel manager said that was ok and when I left the hotel I was not charged for the room. However, 2 weeks later I was charged for the room again without any explanation. My credit card bank is disputing but without success. Either the Hyatt has "lost" the payment from booking.com, or booking.com did not forward the money. Either way, I am the loser. It's been 3 weeks and no resolution. I will never stay again nor will I ever use booking.com. unless this issue is resolved.

Check-in was pleasant & fast. Breakfast was good. I really liked that you have scrambled eggs & hard boiled eggs.

The room did not meet my expections. The restroom looked like remodeling went wrong. Some of the tiles look like if they were put on in a hurry, the cement is coming off/ breaking apart. Not pleasant to look at when using the toilet. Feels like I over payed for that specific room.

This is a pretty standard Hyatt Place property, with the exception of the customer service, which was stellar. Crystal at the front desk greeted us warmly upon our very late arrival, anticipated our queries, and remembered us when we returned. She’s a gem.
