Hyatt Place Salt Lake City Downtown / The Gateway

Great location, easy to find and to get in and out of.

Breakfast has fresh fruit (whole and cut), eggs, bagels, toast/bread, yogurt, cereal, hot cereal, rotation of meat (ham, sausage, bacon), rotation of bread type item (cinnamon roll, biscuit, fried potatoes). Lots of good options. Room was very large with good, comfortable furnishings. Clean room, kept clean during our stay. Location is next to the Delta center and not far from the Union Event Center. Also felt like a very safe area, saw many students and workers (cubicle buildings nearby as well as school), but did not see homeless or vagrants in the area. Many local shopping options (markets, thrift, bodegas, even a target not far away).

The Hyatt is renovating rooms, however much of the hotel is older. If this annoys you, you may not like this hotel. There are peeling wallpaper, fading, scuffed, marked doors and walls. Elevator button with broken outer ridge, things like that.

We were not told breakfast is complimentary. Not told we can grab water ourselves. And also was overcharged $50 at the check in…

Modernes Hotel in guter Lage. Parkplätze direkt am Hotel kostenpflichtig, aber ausreichend vorhanden. Das Doppelzimmer war riesig und mit einem zusätzlichen Sitzbereich ausgestattet. Alles war sauber und komfortabel. Der Pool war noch nicht geöffnet, der Whirlpool konnte aber genutzt werden. Das Frühstücksbuffet war ausgezeichnet. Check-out erst um 12 Uhr.
