Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Texarkana East by IHG

Breakfast was VERY limited even at 7.

The pool and hot tub were green and smelled. When we left at 8 there was still no breakfast out. Our room phone didn’t work Halls were extremely hot. Bugs in the bathroom

The entire stay was very enjoyable.

The breakfast was ok, the pancake machine was down and that is one of the best things my kids enjoy. They had variety of juice and the cinnamon rolls were good.

The hall way smell was not pleasant. The ice machine on our floor didn't work, so we had to go to another floor to get ice. The pool was terrible. The whole area smelled horrible and the water was dirty. It was not clear or blue, it was a murky green. My family and I couldn't even enjoy it and that was one of the reasons I booked there. Also I could here other visitors from their rooms from our room.

Stuff were nice and made check easy.

The common areas were hot. No ac running in hallways or elevators. Room looked dirty. Stains all over the walls.. even blood stains. Also I paid more then advertised when checking into the hotel.. about $40 more

The door to our room wouldn't fully close. Even with all the locks latched, there was still a big gap. The carpets were disgusting with stains everywhere, and an ice machine had flooded our hallway. Worst of all was the pool area! There was literal VOMIT in the pool, old pizza on the ground, beer cans overflowing the trash can, and even an adult toy beside the pool! So gross!!

First walking into the room it smelled bad, Two of our pillows did not have pillow cases tried calling the front desk and our phone didn’t work had to go down to the front desk and get them. Ice machine didn’t work. Breakfast was not all that good but edible, did not have any white milk, they ran out the day before. Needless to say we will not be staying at this hotel chain again.. another one on our list. I just do not understand why so many big chain hotel are so nasty.
