If you want a quiet, homey, inviting place to stay Brewery Gulch Inn is it! From having wine and a light snack at night to excellent breakfast options served to you in the morning, it's better than home. There are books, games, movies that can be used, a deck to sit on an enjoy the outdoors, and a fireplace that fills the room with an cozy smell. We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary in the perfect spot!

Whilst it took around 10 minutes to acclimatise, you will quickly fall in love with this place. Almost like a mini-retreat crossed with staying in a family home. Well appointed rooms, friendly staff, excellent ‘light meal’ box provided each evening to dine in your room or on the terrace/communal dining area with tasty food and complimentary wines. Breakfast equally good and worth waking up for with free tea/coffee and soft drinks on tap all the time. There is a great local supermarket 5 mins away by car which you can use to purchase any supplementary snacks & treats. Well located in Mendocino and not far away from Fort Bragg . One of the nicest stays we had on our 3 week road trip.

Loved the location, beautiful views of the cove. I liked the binoculars in the rooms to observe the woodpeckers. The evening wine and hors d'oevres were wonderful. The floors on the first floors were heated and a big fireplace was operating in the evening. It was quite in the evenings.

Personalities of some staff members were not as outgoing as I was expected.

I’m still dreaming about my stay at Brewery Gulch Inn—it was that special. From the moment we arrived, we enjoyed the cozy elegance of the property. The setting is stunning: perched above Smuggler’s Cove with views that honestly don’t look real (sunsets from their outdoor deck are next-level). We were informed that the inn was built with reclaimed redwood from the nearby Big River. Loved that tidbit. The Great Room, where folks gather for meals or just to read or play a game of Scrabble (on their oversized board, which we did) is such a beautiful space (good for the soul!), and the rooms themselves are spotless, serene, and come with all the thoughtful touches you hope for but rarely find. But the real standout for us was the food. The made-to-order daily breakfast was incredible, and the wine hour/light dinner was far more gourmet than we expected—fresh, seasonal, and clearly prepared with love -- and even better -- served in the cutest "Mendo" Boxes (Bento-style) that are made from the same reclaimed redwood as the inn. We also appreciated how eco-conscious the property is. It feels good to support a place that genuinely cares about its guests and the environment. Highly recommend this for couples, solo travelers looking to recharge, or anyone needing a peaceful escape. We’ll absolutely be back.

Breakfast was great as advertised enjoyed it a dreat deal

Was very disappointed in the so called dinner. It was the main reason I chose to stay there. It fill it was enough to be called an appetizer. It was differently called a dinner, and to top it off to go get something to quickly was to far away, ended up with out having dinner very disappointed ☹️☹️🙁🙁🙁😕😕😕

Total gem! The place feels like a second home when mom cooks you your favorite meal. Stayed twice now and know we will be back.
