The hotel is old and need of much work, which is happening...but the staff are amazing!! Made to feel so welcome and so helpful too.

I liked that its one of the oldest buildings in the area still in use. I dont like that it needs a fair bit of work on the interior. Maybe in time some sort of lift could be installed even if its just for the luggage

We stayed here a few years ago and it was wonderful to return and find some positive changes...the room was very comfortable with a sea view; breakfast was delicious; and the staff was very friendly...our only complaint would be the lack of good internet connection which was a bit frustrating otherwise a great stay..

I no the room we were in was budget the curtains were falling of window wall paper falling of dampness in ceiling no toilet brush top spread on bed marks on it
This must have been an awesome place back in the day. Today, unfortunately, it is just about inhabitable. If you want to stay in this cool looking building, do it fast because I can’t see it being usable much longer. It’s just so run down due to age and neglected maintenance that to get it back in acceptable shape it would cost far more than they would recoup because the entire area seems to have gotten left behind by industry and tourism.
Hotel staff are very friendly and welcoming however hotel is tired but currently undergoing renovation. Would i stay again.....yes
Kettle in room but no cups or any coffee or tea. Damp on walls and curtains falling off the curtain rail A little noisy at night too
