Jardim do Vau

We have just returned from a fantastic 2 week stay at Jardim du Vau. I cannot fault the place - we stayed in a spacious 2 bedroom apartment in Black D on third floor with beautiful sea views . The apartment was so spacious , clean and comfortable with a large balcony with dining set & loungers . The kitchen had absolutely everything you could possibly need . The pool area is gorgeous , very chilled with a great pool bar and cafe open 11am-6pm. Pool is open 8am-8pm. They do great Pina Colada’s & there’s a cocktail of the day for€6. There’s direct access down to a lovely beach with several beachside restaurants . There’s a handy shop on site but Lidl is 8 mins away in an Uber for £3.50 so we stocked up there on food wine & beer . It’s about 20 min walk in to Praia de Rocha along the coast which is extremely lively with a ‘strip’ which was packed & very loud . We preferred to spend the evenings eating & drinking in Alvor in the other direction which is a 10 min maximum Uber drive away . Never waited more than 5 mins for an uber there or back and it’s a beautiful classy resort with fantastic seafood & Italian restaurants & great bars .

Clean, spacious rooms, with big balconies. Nice pool area with bathrooms- although people reserve their chairs early in the morning and don’t show up until hours later (signs that this is not allowed but it’s not enforced), shop has everything you need - food/snacks/toiletries. Later check out easily accommodated. 2 chairs and an umbrella available for rent at the beach for 20 euros but plenty of place if you want to stretch out on the beach a short few mins walk over.

No dish soap/sponge, dishwasher or washer soaps provided- ironing board but no iron- I didn’t bother asking.

This is an amazing location. The units are nice, and the pool is excellent. The parking is good. We had an issue with the air conditioning in our unit, they transferred us to an another unit. Everything was fine then.

We stayed this month , 2 bed apartment big with loads of space, 2 adults, 2 teens. cleaned daily, spotless. Every staff member we met was so helpful and pleasant. Wonderful outdoor pool area and direct access to beautiful beach.no hassle getting loungers. Nice walk to praia da rocha and easy Uber access to Alvor and the aqua shopping centre. Great shop on site with all you need. Trip to supermarket in aqua centre worthwhile if cooking in apartment. Looking forward to returning next year.

Nice kitchen area, to prepare breakfast or lunch. Friendly staff. Older style property, but v clean.

The hotel was great and has a direct access to the beach

The room was a great size and had excellent facilities. Location was perfect for the beach especially people with mobility issues.
