Hôtel Dandy

WE were in Rouen for only a day enroute to Paris. The Dandy could not have been more accommodating and helpful. It is located within a 10 minute walk to the famous cathedral and all the old city sights.

Excellent small hotel in old town near Eglise Jean D'Arc on a street/passage closed to most cars. Street is lined with good French bakeries, restaurants, cafes plus a local market in the square at the end of the street. Guests who have a car should reserve parking from the hotel since on street parking is not available. Streetside rooms have lovely décor and view but may be noisy when bars close at 2 AM. Very helpful English speaking concierge.

Great location for visiting the city and old town on foot. Friendly and helpful reception.

The Hotel is in a cul de sac but is very well signposted which really helped. It is in a great location and only a short walk to historical locations as well as the Restaurant/Bar areas. The rooms are basic but have all you need including tea making. We did not have breakfast in the Hotel but would suggest you do as you pay more for less in the centre. The parking is reasonable and very convenient.

Reception wasn't staffed when I arrived but a simple effective alternative had been put in place. Friendly staff. Nice room.

Comfy and convenient location to shopping, sights and train station. The hotel itself was good but the other people staying in the hotel were loud... playing awful loud music until midnight and then again at 7:30 am. Also someone above us sounded like they were walking in lead boots, it was so loud. But thats just bad luck for us eh? Not the hotel's fault.

We had an early morning train to our next destination. Told the hotel staff of this. Happy to pay up front but, come morning discovered we had only one towel and that was for two people. unable to contact anyone as they did not have 24/24 reception. Not happy would not recommend them because of this.

Well located, 15min walk from Gare Rive Droit. We were given early access to our room.

Hotel Dandy is close to most of the best restaurants and bars, and the area with the most historic architecture. The owner is especially friendly and spent time chatting with us. The price was fantastic as well. The interior is a bit dated but the rooms are nice and bathroom was large and updated. Overall the location and friendliness of the owner made this experience very good.
