Bitez Garden Life Hotel - All Inclusive

I had a whole week in Bitez Garden Life with a package deal with Easyjet, transfer and hotel. The rooms are suitable for families but if all the beds are out it becmes a little small. Also the rooms could do with a little updating, all it was ok as the room was kept clean and the shower worked. The surrounding garden is beautiful bye the way and well kept. But if you come to Bitez Garden Life you will not spent that much time in your room as sitting next to the pool is much more interesting. Or going to the Private part of beach the hotel has to offer. I absolutely loved the food, could not get enough of it. I would go back one day and loved it! Entertainment was ok but when I was there it was more Turkish orientated.

There is pros and cons to this place. I wouldn’t say it’s a place for people that come from the UK or Ireland, unless you know fluent Turkish as their English is very little. Google translate was our saviour staying here. On the first night arriving to Bitez Gardens, we were told our room wasn’t ready and we arrived here for half past 12 at night. They had to put us into a family suite for one night. We were told someone would come and move us rooms by 11 AM. 11AM comes and still hasn’t been moved rooms when we had plans for the day we got there. We were told by 1 o’clock we would have our room. By one o’clock in all fairness we did get our room. However we were put into a room that faced where the kitchen staff were having their breaks. No view of the pool or the hotel building itself just a wall outside across from our balcony that looked onto the road to the hotel for their food and drink deliveries. Which to me felt a bit frustrating because we didn’t have a room when we arrived and to not even get a view of the pools and the hotel itself was upsetting especially travelling from Scotland. The room itself was kept in good condition housekeeping were kind and always made sure we had our little bins were emptied and they always made our beds or changed them. And they cleaned the floors as well regularly. The room does have a mini fridge, and a hairdryer. And a little tv. Air conditioning included also. The hotel has three swimming pools. In all fairness they kept the pools clean every night we seen maintenance using nets to collect any debris that was in the pool like leaves that fell from the trees and they put chemicals in the the pools so we were satisfied with the cleanliness of the pools. 10/10 with the swimming pools we loved the pools. If you’re not a cat person then this place might not be for you there is a lot of cats there and they are very friendly. However they are strays, and we noticed they pooed nearby the pool a lot. This is no one’s fault though the hotel does do its best to try and make sure there isn’t any mess which we did appreciate. The kitchen staff work really hard they are always running around serving people. The food is very limited but that being said it is cooked to perfection. I loved their food their Turkish meatballs or their homemade pasta was my absolute favourite the deserts are gorgeous I personally loved what they served, the only thing that was a shame was I think they need more space for more food, the times of the food being served could be managed better. And I’m saying this because they are meant to serve snacks from 2PM till 5PM and me and my friend noticed they’d not have food served through those times it was meant to be open so we would need to go to the shop if we were hungry. There was a lot of foreign people in this hotel staying, more like locals. And they were pretty rude to us, they wouldn’t just be nice even if you passed them and waved and says hello which annoyed me to be quite honest it’s not the way to behave towards other guests they would give you funny looks and it was obvious at times they were talking about us in their own language they weren’t exactly discreet about it. So knowing your languages is so important. It can be quite a bitchy place rumours can spread like wild fire. So have your wits around you on what you say. We had an issue with one of the kitchen staff Mehmet his name was, he was wanting me and my friend to smoke cannabis with him and drink Russian vodka with him after he finished work and because we tried to be polite and say no he called my friend a problem and a scumbag. We did report this to kitchen staff, and we cannot fault the manager on this part he did his job and felt so bad for the way were treated. He gave us coffee and a refresher drink and apologised a lot, told us he had sacked him from the hotel as were guests and guests should never be treated the way we were. This issue was dealt with accordingly. Fair enough this was just one issue with one particular staff member. The other staff were brilliant we have never laughed so much the way we did in the hotel, and I personally think it’s the staff who make the place the way it is. We met some wonderful people Ismail and the night/pool entertainers were hilarious they made us feel more comfortable. They were kind and they’d check on you regularly to make sure you were okay and they’d have a conversation with you, they would always make you feel acknowledged. Which we really appreciated. The kitchen manager as well was a lovely lovely man. We did find reception staff a bit judgemental not all but maybe one or two. The rest were fine and really accommodating. The night life is a hit or miss the songs can be a bit repetitive but I wasn’t shy in saying so and in all fairness they did change the songs up when I mentioned about it. The hotel does have potential they do seem to care about their reviews. And I think being honest will really help them. Because it does have potential I think the hotel could really really go places if they wanted it to. The Bitez beach was our favourite place so I think that’s what balanced it out for us personally. I think I will miss a lot of the staff there. And that’s why I’m not bashing this hotel completely being at the Bitez for me was a reality check seeing them work and work and work. They work 16 hour shifts and never complain they just work and work and crack on with it, I do think they need more staff and the hotel could do with some TLC. As I said I think this hotel does have a lot of potential it is a beautiful place. So I wouldn’t say go and visit or not visit at all, as I think it’s one of those situations where it’s a hit or miss. I think everyone’s experience is different but this was ours.

The outward appearance of Bitez Garden Life is lovely, a clean modern well decorated reception area, two nice swimming pools and well maintained grounds. The food is of a good standard except for the breakfast which is solely Turkish and not what most Irish/British people would enjoy. A special mention must be given to Ishmael and all the team in the hamam……they’re friendly and don’t push the packages on guests. However there are too many faults at Garden Life to merit a review that is anything more than average. The sun beds at the pool are insufficient to meet demand and they are so packed together you are literally touching the person beside you. Consequently people are up as early as 6/7 am reserving them. Some bedrooms seem modern but this is how we found room 113 and its surroundings. The stairs and corridors are FILTHY, dirty marks and leaves everywhere. They obviously haven’t been cleaned since the complex opened in May. The key card to our room constantly failed, must have been to reception 2/3 times daily to get it rebooted. The bathroom was dirty, long standing urine stains in the toilet and not once in our 8 days did we have hot water for a shower. The floor and walls in the bedroom were similarly dirty and the the room itself is tiny. Daily cleaning consisted of a new toilet roll, the bed made up and towels changed but no cleaning of any surfaces. Our balcony was tiny and dirty overlooking some out sheds where broken furniture and sun loungers are dumped. We hated the room but were stuck with it. Just remember, first appearances can be deceptive!

Delay on Check-In (we had to wait for an hour, because the guests were checked in one after another out of no reasons). Long queues for dinner, lunch and snack. My son 8y) waited for 30m in the queue and snack for him was denied by the staff. After a discussion with the staff my son got his snack on exception. The staff said that they are instructed by the chief not to ‘waste material’ and to close the snack bar in time, no matter how long the queue is. No seats during dinner, only inside in one corner where lots of flys were around (awful). Only sunflower oil and no olive oil during meals available (in Türkye!). The pool slides are just open for 3,5h per day. Really disappointing that, caused by the delayed check-in, we were not able to use them on our first day. Old and run down rooms, way too small for a family of four and with space on the balkony for only two persons. Very beautiful surroundings with tiny houses and trees and flowers in the whole area. But in the whole one gets the strong impression that money is the first priority before guest. We will not book the accommodation again.

Food was not very good hot food was limited and only barely warm drinks were in small plastic cups coffee was poor and out of machine no tea selection it was noisey until 11pm the so called beach cafe was useless and beach small and a long way from hotel there was no English tv despite requesting it

Hijyen açısından aşırı kötü bir hotel. Neredeyse temiz bardak tabak bulamadık. Oda da sıkıntı vardı çözüm için gelmediler. Sıkıntı tatil sonuna kadar devam etti. Uygun fiyatla gidilecekse tölere edilebilir belki ama ortalama bir fiyat karşılığı hijyen yok. Yemek içmek kısmında ise karnımızı doyuracak birşeyler elbet bulunuyor.
