Residence Inn by Marriott Harrisonburg

We were impressed with the layout of our room which had Queen size bed, lovely bathroom area with sink separate from toilet area allowing easier preparation. Sitting area nicely separated from sleeping area with TV on swivel to watch from couch or bed. And, wow, a FULL kitchen. We pointed out an item that housekeeping had missed from cleaning ( item on the floor) and the staff apologized profusely which was so sincere! They were more than eager to address our concern to our satisfaction. We were able to enjoy a complimentary breakfast which was just okay. Not much to choose from for one of us who is vegan. It was nice to see there was soy milk which was nice. The most significant part of the dining experience was the attendant, Heather, who was the most thoughtful and attentive person I’ve ever met in this role. I don’t see wait staff in most eateries offer this level of service. She deserves a shout out for her service!!!

We loved this hotel and will be using it again. Our kids loved the pool and hot tube and the location of the hotel was perfect for JMU football! 10 out of 10!

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast offered so many options and was very nice. The room was very clean and stocked. The pool area was clean, the pool itself looked like it could use a good scrub as the bottom was extremely discolored. Overall nice place to stay.

We stayed at this property twice now and each time it has been great. Clean lobby, clean rooms, great housekeeping and very convenient to the JMU Campus. The breakfast is typical Residence Inn layout, which was quite good. Both times we visited, the lovely women (Heather) who did the Breakfast set up, came out to say hello AND ask if we needed anything. Heather's small ask says volumes about this property. Will stay here again, and again.

Had such a great peaceful rest. Very convenient to everything. Could actually walk to movies and dinner. Just a very nice place. ddinner.from there.

Stay here every time we travel back and forth to Florida. Always enjoy the hotel and love the town of Harrisonburg.

Spacious suites with L-shaped sofa, full sized refrigerator, larger than average desk, range top, table for two, rotating TV stand, lots of drawers for clothes and in the bathroom also, almost a dozen lights, strong water pressure, hot water, a comfortable bed, and a free breakfast that is above average

The customer service at this hotel will exceed the experience at any other Marriott hotel! Kudos to Julia at check in for starting the experience on such a high note. Julia’s smile and welcoming demeanor was commendable. The entire staff at the hotel is amazing. Everyone from the maintenance staff (who I saw bringing a water to a guest on a very hot day), to the cleaning staff that greets you (sometimes multiple times ), to the smiling breakfast staff. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and perfect. The pool is wonderful, and each chair even has a towel placed on the back for convenience. This hotel will exceed your every expectation and it all started with Julia at check in. Thank you again from the Perry family!
