"Once in a lifetime experience!"

10.0

The property sits right at the base of Machu Picchu!!! You can wake up and go to bed being immersed in the energy of this AMAZING wonder of the world! The property itself is beautiful, views awe inspiring and the grounds are perfectly maintained, nestled in the fauna and foliage, plenty to of room to walk about and explore. LOVE the various hummingbird feeders. Rooms are small (read the history of the property) however clean and fresh. Food options are vast and delicious. GREAT staff who are professional and love what they do.

"A wonderful stay"

10.0

We really enjoyed the kindness of the staff. We traveled with our disabled daughter on August 20/21st and from stepping off the train to leaving again, we just had so much help from everyone. The team went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible and we truly appreciated that!!! We also enjoyed the chocolate, coffee and spirits tasting - it was really fun and educational! The FOOD - it was also so good for all the meals we had on these two days. Our Machu Picchu visit would not have been the same without staying at the Belmond - we all keep talking about it and it was the highlight of our trip. Thank you so much to everyone who helped make this is a fantastic experience. We truly hope that the Belmond will remain as a hotel at Machu Picchu. We hope to come back and we hope that many more visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy your beautiful space, staff and experience! THANK YOU!

"Top Notch"

10.0

From the minute I stepped of the bus there was someone to greet me! And even by name 🙃 My Machu Picchu experience was at 11am - but not a problem, I was offered a drink and made comfortable in the dining area. My backpack was taken care of and when I got back everything was in my room. The food was beautifully presented and tasted so good. The ambience at dinner was pleasant with accompanying music. The room was attractive and the bed really comfortable. The doors led out onto a beautiful garden with a fabulous lounging area. Everything just was right!! Thank you for your hospitality - it was amazing!!

"Truly one of a kind experience!"

10.0

This hotel has now set the standard for our family when it comes to hotel experience! Everything from the truly helpful and attentive staff to the luxurious beds and beautiful property was beyond our expectations! But the Staff was absolutely the best we’ve ever experienced. Not a need was left unattended. From ponchos when it rained to proving a medical doctor within 15 minutes when one of our family experienced severe altitude sickness. Sarah took the initiative and Carol helped translate! Carol was also fantastic when it came to the Peruvian chocolate and coffee presentation! Alex, I believe he is the manager, made sure all our needs were met! Including rain ponchos, walking sticks and that our bags were ready for us and secured. Mason, our waiter was super attentive and always made sure we had our special hot sauce. And we can’t omit Freddie, our bartender who gave a great class and tasting on Peruvian liquors and prepared our drinks perfectly! If you go, be sure to take time to visit their beautiful orchid garden and, if you get a change, speak to the gardener who went to university to

"Exceptional"

10.0

The Sanctuary Lodge is a gem in the entrance of Machu Picchu. Every staff member we met was exceptionally warm, treating us like their family. We were especially impressed by Juan Manuel, Wilmar, Alexander, and Zaraí. Additionally, incredible demonstrations of Peruvian culture by Karen and Gabriel. We really felt taken care of here. Not only was the attention by staff excellent, but the space is beautiful with an incredible garden, lovely rooms, and the food was unbelievable (notable mention to Chef Daniel). We cannot recommend this hotel and its people more!
