La Quinta by Wyndham Horn Lake / Southaven Area

Pros: Clean and updated as much as they could. Staff is friendly and professional. Room was clean.* Parking was easy and plentiful. Location was good except it near a VERY busy intersection and hard to get to coming from Memphis. Indoor pool looked fun and close to elevator. Cons: Room was a little tight on space. Bathroom was even tighter. Chair in the room appeared to have human body fluid on it and needed a deep clean. Furniture in the room looks like it was held over from before reno. Beds were decent. The worst feature was the disappointing breakfast. I'll eat almost anything and had to pass on breakfast the second day other than a biscuit and cereal. For a $150 a night hotel, I expect more. The room size with the breakfast reminded me of when I used to stay in Super 8’s. At $75-80 a night this is a decent value.

Last 2 stays the pool was not working this should have been noted! The pillows on the beds are too small our beds slept horribly they squeaked all night

The staff was so friendly!

The location works but everything else is not worth it. The staff could care less about being there, they mostly sit on their personal phones and you have to make yourself known to them if you want any help. The breakfast is 3 pastries and some cereal. The rooms are fine but honestly I've stayed at several hotels in the area and I would pick any of them over this one. It's not worth the money or your time.

The bathroom was not cleaned properly. The toilet looked like someone had just used it and left the lids open and splashed on. The bathtub had a mat of some kind that was slid up and showed filthy orange looking gunk under it. Too dirty to use; and we waited so late to check it out, it was too late for them to get anyone in, so we wanted until we got up to complain. When the staff were told they said “ok” and when we showed them the picture, they said “ok we will tell the manager”

Strong chemical cleaning odor to room. Lysol? Unfriendly check in. Breakfast lacking taste and substance. Pancake machine broken. Bathtub dirty.

The room was clean and nice. We booked here due to the pool for kids and the Hot tub for us adults. However the pool room was not inviting as it showed to be in the picture. No tables at all, just a few chairs by the wall. Our teen girls said it was cold and did not stay in long at all. The hot tub was covered over with a wooden deck which looked to be pretty permanent. The room was cl3an and beds was soft. Breakfast we ate at 830 was very stale the pastries were hard and dried out. the sausages and eggs were also very dried out .. cereal and oatmeal made from a package was the most edible thing.. unless we hear of changes will not stay again.

Stay was okay. Found the staff not very friendly and the breakfast was not well stocked. Ran out of most items by 8:00 and not replenished. Room was clean and location was good.
