Diani Reef Beach Resort & Spa - Your Beachfront Bliss Awaits

This hotel is situated right on the beach front. The view is incredible! Every member of staff is extremely happy to help. Particular mention to Paula at reception, Victor at the bar, Mary & Rashid in the restaurant. The food was very good, slightly repetitive but understandable as some nights 10 guests or less ! The hotel has been left to fall into dis repair. The website is very misleading - there is no spa, no usable adult only pool, no Finns restaurant no beach bar. There is a lot of work going on leading to daytime noise around the pool. We were never informed of this or offered compensation for the lack of facilities. We had no hot water in our room - reported to reception and fobbed off for 2 days. Day 3 moved room - hot water but they'd isolated the cold !! Burnt head - lots of apologies but complete lack of understanding for any health & safety implications. When was the water last run for legionella checks.....? The room ( both) we had was very dated, but clean. All inclusive is misleading. There are 3 cocktails on the list. The white wine was good and my husband enjoyed the Tusker. The coffee is terrible ! Somehow I managed to get a daily cappuccino for which I was extremely grateful. Be careful sitting on the balcony - monkey's don't respect you or your space ! The staff try really hard to keep them out.

The natural surroundings are beautiful and relaxing, with plenty of greenery and nice ocean views. Our room had a pleasant sea view and the resort grounds are attractive. Breakfast was decent and the overall atmosphere was quiet due to the low number of guests. The property has potential and the setting itself is ideal for relaxation.

The resort feels dated and the bathroom water was noticeably salty. Wi-Fi coverage was extremely poor throughout our stay. The swimming pool was small and underwhelming, and the beach was not ideal for swimming. Beach vendors frequently approached guests, making it difficult to fully relax. The all-inclusive experience was disappointing and far below the standard we expected. Lunch quality was poor, dinner offered limited variety, and cocktail options were very limited. The resort was almost empty during our stay and there were no meaningful activities or entertainment. While the staff appeared friendly, some interactions felt overly persistent and at times uncomfortable, particularly around food and beverage service. As a couple looking for a relaxing getaway, we often felt more alert than relaxed, which is not the experience we expect from a beach resort.

My wife and I stayed at Diani Reef Beach Resort & Spa for one night. The natural setting is beautiful, with lush greenery and relaxing ocean views. Our room had a sea view, which was one of the highlights of the stay. However, the overall experience fell well below our expectations for an all-inclusive beach resort. The resort buildings feel dated, and the water in the bathroom was noticeably salty. The swimming pool was surprisingly small and underwhelming for a resort of this size. The beach itself is beautiful, but it was difficult to fully relax because there were persistent vendors along the shoreline trying to sell products and services. We found ourselves repeatedly having to decline offers instead of enjoying the beach peacefully. The Wi-Fi coverage was extremely poor throughout our stay. The all-inclusive package was also disappointing. Compared to other all-inclusive destinations we have visited, particularly in Antalya, the food and beverage offering felt very limited. The resort was nearly empty during our stay, with perhaps only around 20 guests on the property. Lunch was served à la carte. The salad was poor, the soup was acceptable, and the main course was disappointing. Dinner was buffet-style but offered limited variety and average quality. Breakfast was the best meal of the stay and was reasonably good. Cocktail options were very limited, with only a few alcoholic cocktails available. The staff generally appeared friendly and helpful, but we often felt uncomfortable with the level of attention we received. There was a noticeable persistence in interactions, particularly around food and beverage service, that made it difficult to fully relax. My wife also felt uncomfortable at times because some interactions seemed overly familiar rather than professionally attentive. The resort lacked activities and entertainment, which further contributed to the feeling that the property was quiet and underutilized. Overall, the beautiful natural surroundings are the resort’s greatest strength. Unfortunately, the facilities, food, all-inclusive offering, Wi-Fi, beach experience, and overall atmosphere did not meet our expectations for a relaxing luxury resort stay.

It was a heavenly experience. The staff are very friendly right from the reception to the security personnel and the waiting staff. The beach is accessible. The rooms with a beach view are spacious and clean.
