A very pleasant hotel with great meals and a good onsen.

What a special place to stay and experience Kiso Valley. The room was so authentically Japanese. The baths were wonderful and relaxing. If you are into hiking, this is a wonderful place to stay and then rejuvenate in the baths. Lovely hosts and so accommodating.

L'accueil aux petits soins (par exemple nous proposer de nous raccompagner à la gare), les repas japonais, le coin pour la pause thé...

Bains agreables, mais j'ai trouvé l'eau aux bains intérieurs trop chaude pour moi, et il y avait parfois des odeurs de fioul dans le bain extérieur.

The staff were excellent, seemed to enjoy helping us.

The Onsen facilities were great

We liked the location and the Onsen being on the river. We also liked our room on the river which had a great view.

We did not like how commercial and Disneyland like it was. Also that this is a tour group place. We also had automatic lights in our room which turned a shining strobe light into the room when we got up to go to the bathroom. It was the most expensive or the ryokans we stayed in and while in a beautiful old building it was a very contrived experience with shogun movie and samurai helmers on the table.
