Kaidou Roman Onyado Tsutaya

Had a great couple of days in Kiso and my stay at Onyado Tsutaya was excellent. Very lovely and helpful people that worked there and the facilities were very clean and well equipped. The onsen was so good and at the time I booked there weren't any Japanese rooms available in the main building... I think I would have loved to have stayed in one of those rooms more than the one in the Annex.

There was only one thing that I wasn't happy about with my room, which was in the Annex across the road from the main building, and that was that my only window in the room was on the walkway and people could see straight into my whole room so I had to keep the blind closed which made the room very dark. Other than that everything else was excellent.

We stayed in the new annexe, it was fantastic. Room had an opening window, and great coat hangers. Onsen facilities amazing.

Everything. All the little details and thoughtfulness with the room amenities. The extra towels, optional PJ's, coffee and tea in the foyer, the Onsen!! The good luck sparks on departure and the bus shuttle to the train station. The staff were also friendly and helpful. Thank you so much, I hope to return.

Nothing. I liked everything.

We stayed in the annexe across the road which was new and lovely. I would have preferred to stay in the old world charm of the hotel however it was booked out. We used the onsen twice in one day/night we were there. Would recommed to anyone on the nakasendo trail purely because of the onsen. Much needed after our biggest day on the hike.

Beautiful facility. The staff was exceptional. The onsen was amazing.

I just didn’t realize when we booked our room that we were going to be placed across the street in another building.

Good breakfast and coffee! The lodging was frequented by many hikers and had a feeling of the Wild West Japanese style :-) We really liked and appreciated the proprietor. She moved us to a more suitable room and picked us up from the station after our hike. Well located in an old Samurai town.
