House 5863- Chicago's Premier Bed and Breakfast

Very easy to get in and out. Quiet neighborhood. Lots of parking.

Good location. Centrally located in N Chi-town.

We were surprised to find our private bathroom was down the hall from our room. Supplies in the common kitchen were not replenished. For example, water was usually gone by mid am and not replaced despite temps in the 90’s. No plugs on the left side of the bed. Dogs barked most of the day. Toilet paper was very thin as were sheets, not really fitting of the boutique b n b as it was characterized.

This B&B is the perfect option for anyone who wants to explore the city by day and have some peace and tranquillity in the evenings. It’s close to the train station to catch the redline many of Chicago’s most popular locations. It’s within walking distance to many options and just a short walk to the beach.

Everything was taken care of! A wonderful stay.

I loved it was so close to busy Chicago but in the quiet subarbs where it was nice and quiet and felt very safe.The rooms were excellent and well equipped and the kitchen was full of snacks to eat when you wanted and a great selection of drinks. If I ever came to Chicago I would stay here again also the hosts were fantastic

What a beautiful home. Erick was a most gracious host. The room and shower was lovely as well as the comfortable bed. We so enjoyed the common areas along with the lovely selection of coffees teas and bakery items. Our only complaint is that the room we were in was extremely hot the first night and unfortunately the ceiling fan made an obnoxious clicking noise. Thankfully it cooled off for our second evening. We will definitely return in the near future. Thank You

The proprietor of the house cancelled our reservation without our consent. We had inquired about canceling as we were in a bind given that we were, in mid-October, dealing with the lack of power and water in our home here in Asheville, NC due to the effects of Hurricane Helene. I was told we could change our dates for a fee but we couldn't get a refund. Our trip to Chicago was set for the weekend of the marathon and we weren't looking for a different date. Three days after our query, we made a decision to travel to Chicago. I informed the proprietor, Mr Ocasio, that we would be coming and asked if we could leave our bags after check out for a few hours.. He told me he cancelled the reservation and gave it to someone else and he had no rooms available. He cancelled and he held onto almost $1000 of my money which he initially told me he would return but he has not, as of November 17, returned our funds. He has ghosted me on email and never returns a phone call. I've asked him to settle the matter and bring closure. He has failed to respond. I have screenshots and can provide more details if needed. He made a mistake cancelling our reservation but he has amplified the problem by failing to return the funds and ignoring all requests.
