Lovely place, great views of Hilo Bay

The home was once beautiful, a Bauhaus style architecture where a portion of the house was turned into nightly rentals. The view is gorgeous and gardens still show the original style. Although improvements were made in our bathroom, the suite was basic and could use some updating, as well as the large living room available to guests.

The property is so cute and well kept, there was a pool table and the owners greeted us and made us feel right at home. Will definitely be back!

Sarge, the caretaker, was personable, helpful, and great!

Great place to stay in Hilo, cozy and quiet and yet still right off a main road down to Kamehameha avenue. Would highly recommend to anyone, though do note that parking is extremely tight.

A unique property with a view over the bay. I believe there are only 4 rooms, all on the second floor with good views. Checkin and checkout are self-service. You will receive access codes via text message, and you may not see another living soul. Expect to be quiet after 9pm. Nice place, would stay again.

The property is very pleasant, including not only the home, but the surroundings. The large backyard is very peaceful, and the three chickens are a nice addition. The views from the property (and from our room #1) are spectacular. Parking requires a little maneuvering, but it wasn't a problem. Also, stone stairway to the house, and stairs inside the house to the rooms upstairs, could be difficult for anyone with limited mobility. I highly recommend this facility if you want a quiet room and an "old Hawaii" experience.

We stayed 2 nights and had good experience. My partner said it is her dream home. Parking has enough space for jeep.

Owner is super nice, could improve the hygiene a bit more (i.e. the towels smell a bit funky).
