The Sebel Whitsundays Airlie Beach

I stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment - level 4 B2422, with full kitchen while travelling for business, as I like fresh juice in the morning, to cook my own food, and do my laundry as I go. My stay was beautiful. The view was spectacular from the large balcony and getting home after long days at work, it was so serene, looking out over the harbour. Bed and pillows were so comfy and the towels were soft and fluffy. Internet was great. 3 minutes from Woolworths. You can hear children playing during the day at the pool, however there was no noise from late afternoon, and you could think you were the only one staying at the hotel. Thank you Sebel Airlie. It was the best work week ever. I hope you welcome me back.

We usually stay at the property next door when visiting family in Airlie Beach, but it was fully booked this time, so we were recommended to try The Sebel. I was a little hesitant at first after reading some mixed reviews, but we decided to give it a go, especially knowing there was a new manager who had previously worked at our usual property. I’m so glad we did. Our room was lovely, clean, and had beautiful views. We especially loved the pool! The service was fantastic throughout, and the whole experience exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be back.

My partner and I stayed at The Sebel from 9th-13th March for a surprise trip for my partner’s 30th birthday. When we checked in, the room had a strong damp/mould smell. At first we assumed it was just the tropical climate and aired the room out. After a few days the smell was still really strong, so I had a proper look around the apartment and found visible mould. The worst part was when I flipped my pillow over on the third morning, and realised there was MOULD on the pillow I’d been sleeping on….. I reported it to reception immediately and the staff member actually saw the mouldy pillow themselves. Also told them about the mould in my room, the only solution offered at the time was a new pillow slip….placed over THE SAME mouldy pillow! I was told someone would contact me about it, but no one ever did.m! Choose wisely when booking accommodation.

We really enjoyed our time at Sebel Airlie Beach. The accommodation was bright, modern, and exceptionally clean, which made the stay feel comfortable and stress free. The room had plenty of space and all the little touches you want when travelling. It’s in a great spot — close enough to walk everywhere but still nice and quiet at night. The pool area was a lovely bonus and perfect for relaxing in the afternoons. Staff were friendly and easy to deal with, which always makes a difference. Overall, a great place to stay in Airlie Beach and one we would happily book again on our next trip.

We had an amazing stay at the Sebel Airlie Beach and genuinely couldn’t fault a thing. The apartment was spotless, modern, and very well looked after, with all the little touches that made it feel comfortable and relaxing. The bed was incredibly comfy, and the whole space felt fresh and inviting from the moment we arrived. The location is ideal — just a short walk to the marina, main street, and plenty of fantastic restaurants and tour departures around Airlie Beach. The staff were warm, friendly, and made the check-in process smooth and stress-free. Overall, it was a fantastic stay and great value for money. We’d definitely stay again and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting the Whitsundays.

Absolutely terrible service, disgusting hotel and no response to emails regarding serious health & safety concerns. I sent multiple emails, had to make multiple phone calls to follow up and am still yet to be refunded for what was a refundable booking anyway. The hotel are refusing to refund a night that we had to stay as when we arrived reception was closed and did not reopen until 8am when we checked out. Apartment was filthy dirty, mouldy bread in cupboard, balcony doors did not open, blinds in rooms didn’t work at all, no streaming services on tv, wifi didn’t work, light outside (only outside lights) had water leaking through it, bed quilts had urine, blood and what looked like faeces stains and this list goes on. I reported all of this to reception and even emailed the ‘guest experience manager’ to be ignored. After leaving I see many reviews of other people having the same experience and hotel doing nothing to fix. I have reported to Office of Fair Trading. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY !

Perfect place to visit Airlie Beach and withsundays The room was impeccable and the service at the hotel has been outstanding throughout our stay, Maccarena was always readily available with great suggestion and support. We spent 4 days at Sebel but we would have loved stying for longer. Highly recommended

Decent room and hotel but would not stay again. 7 night stay and room not serviced once! Had to ask for fresh towels. Kitchen dishcloth cut into 4 pieces, one tea towel, no tissues. Facilities in room were ok but bed was not comfy. Walking distance for adults with no mobility issues into town is fine, but they fail to tell you that the hotel is on a very steep hill which was difficult for us older people. Also, there is only one restaurant accross the road, nothing at all at this hotel, no coffee shop close either. Pool area is lovely with nice views and the staff were very friendly.

Our unit was clean, well appointed and had a great view of the water. Staff were obliging and friendly.. The only thing that we could mention was that the pool had no steps to get in or or out. The ledge was a bit high, so people with restricted mobility would not be able to use it easily. Other than that, it’s a great place to stay

Comfortable with plenty of amenities and convenient with a nice view of the bay. The customer service was excellent, particularly from Sadhbh who went above and beyond to help during my stay, as I had broken my ankle and needed assistance with luggage amongst other things.
