Sun Siyam Iru Fushi

We were on Sun Siyam Iru Fushi in week 13-13 2026. It was supposed to be the trip of our lives and it was, from the first second we arrived on the island we were greeted with kindness and a very high level of service, and that applied to all the employees we came into contact with - whether it was the service staff at the bar, restaurants or the employee who was responsible for cleaning, Everyone was 100% focused on service and that we should have a good experience. We would especially like to highlight our "butler" Fayaz, who constantly went the extra mile for our sake - and made sure that we always felt safe and well treated On the island you can, if you want, participate in activities pretty much all day - or you can, like us, just enjoy each other, the island, nature, the water, the beach and the food. We would like to give Sun Siyam Iru Fushi our very best recommendation, and it doesn't matter if you are an older couple like us who focused on relaxation and comfort, or a family with children who would like some activity, there is something for everyone and the experience is unique, we will definitely come back.

We stayed for 5 days and we have been treated like family here ..made some friends and the staff here made us feel more than welcomed..we wer very well taken care of by Manish and Sabari at the waters edge ..we met them almost everyday and they wer very sweet and kind to us ..Manish was very welcoming with his kind words and smile ..helped us with our stay and made us feel comfortable everytime we visited waters edge ..we felt very special and taken care of by every staff member we met ..thank you

Wow wow wow The Maldives has always been on our bucket list I can honestly say this island exceeded our expectations ❤️ We were lucky enough to experience a beach villa and a water villa and both had such amazing qualities, the spa was beautiful the food was out of this world and the service was outstanding! My wife and I returned to Sun Siyam Iru Fushi for the second time — this time to celebrate our honeymoon — and what an absolute dream it was. From the moment we arrived, we were instantly reminded why this place holds such a special place in our hearts. As returning guests, we were kindly upgraded to one of the newly refurbished water villas, which was simply stunning, especially at sunset. The villa itself is enormously spacious, and the private pool and sunken seating area made it even more special — the perfect setting for a honeymoon. A few exceptional team members who truly made this trip unforgettable: Fayaz (Butler) — Incredible from start to finish. Always on hand, no matter the time or request, and went above and beyond to make our honeymoon as magical as possible. We couldn’t have asked for more. Ganesh (Taste of India & Fluid) — Always went out of his way to ensure we had a wonderful experience, whether it was a relaxed lunch at Fluid or the outstanding dinner at Taste of India. Attentive, warm and genuinely caring. Gayan (Wine Sommelier & F&B Manager) — A true highlight. He hosted the wine pairing dinner we enjoyed on our first evening, and also recommended the Maldivian beach barbecue — an absolutely spectacular evening with an incredible spread of food cooked to perfection. A must-do for any guest! Zoe (Dive Centre)- exceptional mentor for those wanting to learn scuba diving! She was so patient and calm and made sure I had the most amazing experience under the water. A moment I’ll never forget! The buggy drivers — Always prompt, always smiling, and never once let us down. Brilliant, every single one of them. Housekeeping — Flawless throughout. We particularly loved the little messages left on our bed after each clean — such a thoughtful touch that always brought a smile to our faces. Beyond the people, the resort’s activities are on another level entirely. We enjoyed snorkelling, scuba diving, and wakeboarding, among others. The spa is equally impressive — we visited multiple times just to enjoy the facilities, and also booked a couple of massages which were wonderfully relaxing. We cannot thank the entire team at Sun Siyam Iru Fushi enough for making our honeymoon so truly memorable. We are already looking forward to our third visit — there really is nowhere quite like it.

Iru Fushi lives up to its online reputation and truly exceeds expectations. Its ‘island chic’ culture was a highlight. From our arrival in Male and transfer to the sea plane, we knew we were in for a treat. The Maldives is breathtaking from above. We were greeted at the island resort by a welcoming party including our butler Nasif. He proved incredibly helpful, always quick to respond and ensuring our holiday was a success. He organised a private sunset speedboat fishing trip, which we highly recommend. We also enjoyed a complimentary sunset cruise, where we spotted dolphins alongside our boat. Nasif even arranged tablets for our youngest to help him travel home, having felt a bit seasick on the inbound flight. The marine life was incredible. We snorkelled at Nemo and the house reefs, seeing beautiful fish. However, the sights behind our villa on the island’s other side were equally impressive. We encountered small black fin sharks chasing fish, as well as stingrays. The sea was generally calm, though visibility varied with the time of day and tide. I recommend wearing a life jacket if venturing out and being an experienced snorkeller or strong swimmer. I initially didn’t and had a panic moment realising the current was strong and I was tired. Don’t be a hero, you’re on holiday! Another tip is to access these spots from the dive centre, where there’s a rope to guide you. We didn’t do that on our first day, but it was much easier once we knew the best approach. We also enjoyed other activities like the gym. It’s small but perfectly sized for some maintenance and I went early to share it with just two or three people. My wife recommended yoga on the diving deck. At the recreation centre we played games including a full-size snooker, a separate pool table and ping pong. The tennis courts looked lovely but it was too hot for our skill level. We travelled with our children aged 11 and 12 so we didn’t visit the adult-only area (Reflections) but it looked stunning. Fluid is nice but relatively small for the entire resort and is probably due a facelift. That reflects the quality and space throughout the rest of the resort. The staff, food and drinks were still great. As others have said, book restaurants in advance. We did and were able to secure preferred times for all. The Indian, Bamboo and Trio were all top quality. Note: Flavours is under renovation but its French menu was served at Trio in addition to the Italian option. Other people to mention include Rasedul our house-keeper who was ever-present but never an inconvenience; Madhu our most regular of waiters in Waters Edge and absolutely brilliant! Chef Ariful who makes the best omelette; Chef Sathis - the best pancake maker ever! Dilshad - who runs a tight ship at the beach bar (waters edge). To be honest I feel guilty naming anyone as it means others are not mentioned when the quality of people really make this resort so special. We loved this holiday. It’s a true escape and the most relaxing of vibes. Just go - you will not regret it!

We arrived via seaplane into Sun Siyam World before transferring by speedboat to Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, and from the moment we stepped onto the island it felt like we had arrived somewhere genuinely special. The welcome set the tone immediately – a team greeting us with drums, dancing and a shell trumpet, which might sound theatrical, but somehow felt completely fitting rather than overdone. We stayed in a Deluxe Beach Villa with pool, which was both spacious and genuinely luxurious. A huge, comfortable bed, an outdoor bathroom with jacuzzi bath and swing seat, plus both open-air and covered showers. Outside, a private pool, day bed under a gazebo, and direct access to the beach made it very easy to settle into island life quickly. It struck a nice balance between indulgence and comfort. Food and drink across the island were consistently strong. We tried all of the restaurants, with Bamboo being the standout – exceptional food and equally impressive service. That said, even the buffet exceeded expectations, with a lot cooked fresh to order. Reflections bar (adults only) also deserves a mention, both for the quality of food and drinks and the level of service, which was excellent throughout. The overall atmosphere leaned romantic, which suited us perfectly, although there were more families and children than we initially expected. In reality, this didn’t detract from the experience, particularly if you position yourself towards the Reflections end of the island, which we would recommend for couples. What really elevated the stay, however, was the service. It was attentive without being intrusive, natural rather than forced, and consistently of a very high standard. Our butler, Naveem, led this brilliantly – from remembering what we liked to drink to making everything feel effortless. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. We genuinely felt looked after in a way that is increasingly rare. The accommodation, beaches and restaurants are all excellent, but it’s the way everything comes together – the detail, the service, the ease – that makes this place stand out. This was a treat for us, and one we would absolutely recommend.

Sun Siyam Iru Fushi is a wonderful place, beautiful fine sandy beaches with clear aqua marine sea. All staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially our butler Fayaz who couldn’t have been more helpful. It was great to have him as our point of contact. He was available at all times if we had any questions or needed information about trips etc. For our first week we were in a beachside villa with pool, which was incredible. - spacious and luxurious. For the second week we moved into a water villa with pool. Again an incredible experience to be over the sea and the villa itself was lovely, with lots of outdoor space. We would highly recommend Sun Siyam Iru Fushi

Our family has just returned from an unforgettable two-week stay at Sun Siyam Iru Fushi Maldives, and we want to express our deepest gratitude to the entire team of this incredible resort. This was already our second visit, and once again the hotel proved that it is truly a paradise on earth. Everything — the nature, the atmosphere, the service, and most importantly the people — makes this place absolutely special. From the very first moment we felt genuine care and warmth from the entire team. We would especially like to thank the hotel managers and our wonderful butler Hnin, who was always attentive, professional, and ready to help with anything we needed. Our children spent a lot of time in the Kids Club, where they made great friends with other children and with the amazing team of educators: Altynai, Shaffaa, Leah, and Uzzam. Thank you for creating such a warm, joyful, and safe environment for the kids — they absolutely loved it. A very special thank you goes to the incredible chefs and restaurant teams. One person deserves particular recognition — Chef Sathis, our friend, who every morning prepared the most beautiful and delicious pancakes for our children. They could request any shape or character, and he would always create something magical. The kids were excited every day to see what masterpiece he would make next. We would also like to thank Chef Abbas Ali, our friend, who prepares wonderful breakfasts and fantastic lunches at Fluid Bartogether with his great team: Vikram Singh, Arkind Singh, Shehan, and Tasgiy Singh. We had lunch at Fluid Bar almost every day, and it was always delicious, relaxed, and perfectly served. It was the ideal place where we could enjoy great food while the kids happily swam in the pool nearby. We are also very grateful to the amazing restaurant and bar team who made every meal and every evening special: Sujana, Madhu, Gaurav, Gopal, Ganesh, Thilina, Rahul, Asanka, Narender, Dil Shad, Abdulla, Jadeja, Pratik, and Grishma. Your friendliness, professionalism, and warm smiles made our stay even more enjoyable. A big thank you as well to the Recreation Center team and trainers Rasheed and Mamnoon for the great activities and positive energy. We would also like to express special appreciation to Bayu from Room & Bed Service — a truly professional, kind, and welcoming person who always made sure everything in our villa was perfect. We were also very touched by the wonderful gifts provided by the hotel for our second visit, including the fantastic Snorkeling Safari experience, which was truly unforgettable.
