Gorgeous view of the lake, bed was very comfy and there were plenty of extra blankets in the room, the room was a nice size, large bathroom, it was close to the restaurants and just across the road from the lake.

The television in our room was cracked in the corner which meant that when watching TV there was a glitches on the screen (see pictures), the shower pressure was weak, lack of convenient bed side plugs.

Fantastic location, very warm room with everything we needed. Staff were all warm and friendly.

Walls were marked and made it seem a little tired.

Good location and lovely self catering apartment. We had paid for breakfast but wish we had not. Only went once as food very poor. We would advise anyone going here not to bother with breakfast. Washing machine and dryer available on site foc.

I recently stayed at Peppers Bluewater Resort in Lake Tekapo, and unfortunately, it was a highly disappointing experience from start to finish. For a room that costs $400 NZD per night, the quality and service were completely unacceptable. The value for money is absolutely abysmal. Here are the main issues we encountered during our stay: Inconvenient Access: The hassle started as soon as we arrived. The parking lot is quite a distance from the rooms, and the path is not accessible. If you are carrying a lot of heavy luggage, getting to your room is a major struggle. Unpleasant Odors: Upon entering, we were immediately hit by a strange, foul smell in the room. To make matters worse, the bath towels provided also had a very weird, musty odor. Deceptive Bedding: We specifically booked an "Extra Large Double Bed" room, but were shocked to find it was actually just two single beds pushed together. The hard seam in the middle made it extremely uncomfortable to sleep on. Deceptive Booking.com Photos & Traffic Noise: The photos of the "Lake View Suite" on Booking.com are completely misleading. The pictures are framed to make it look like the hotel sits right on the water's edge, hiding the fact that there is actually a busy main road directly between the room and the lake. Because of this road, every time a car drives past at night, the traffic noise is incredibly loud and disruptive. Terrible Soundproofing: The noise issues extend indoors. The soundproofing is practically non-existent—we could clearly hear word-for-word conversations from the guests in the room next door. Zero Privacy & Security Concerns: The balcony used to view the lake is actually shared with the neighboring room. Even worse, there is direct access to this balcony straight from the main road. This means anyone walking by could simply step up to our room's outdoor area. There is absolutely no privacy or sense of security whatsoever if you want to sit outside.
