Hilton Garden Inn Nashville/Franklin-Cool Springs

We have stayed here several times on our trips south. We have found the rooms to be clean and comfortable as is the case of Garden Inns allover. As we only stay one night the following is moot, but they only make up the room every other night at Garden Inns. I have no issues with reusing towels, we do so at home, but we would like new wash cloths and a general straightening up, Way more important is that they now charge $10 per night to park. This is an open lot behind a strip mall. REALLY!!! I am a diamond member at Hilton and plan to bring this one to the attention of the Diamond Desk.

Very good the shower water pressure was impressive

I checked in late, around 9PM. I parked my car about 50 ft from the entrance. I had to pay $10 to park for the night!!! It was not a secure lot, just a normal parking lot like most hotels that don’t have a secure lot or parking garage. Ridiculous! I feel I should get a refund since the description says “Uncovered self parking on site (USD 10 per night); includes in/out privileges. This implies there is an arm/gate to get in and out. It is a completely open lot. Ten dollars to park my car in an open lot! Front desk people not friendly. Beds and pillows were comfy, room was nice.

The pool area had unfinished ceiling. Unsightly. The elevator call button was missing the face. The outdoor furniture wasn't kept up.

AC & mini fridge so loud couldn’t sleep.

The common areas of the hotel were nice and updated. The room, however, was in need of maintenance. I checked in late and walked into a warm room. I turned down the AC and collapsed into bed. 10 minutes later, I was awoken by the world’s loudest AC. If it wasn’t after midnight I would have asked to switch rooms. The AC was so loud that people on the other end of a phone call the next morning asked what was going on. I took a video to show the front desk staff so they could pass on the issue to maintenance but the clerk couldn’t have been less interested in dealing with the issue. Also, the shower ceiling had big sections of peeling paint. This was not up to HGI standards.

We had dinner there but after ordering we found out they were out of soup. Meal took a long time to arrive, and we were told the person in the kitchen was in training. Later learned that the same was true of our waitress. Decided to go elsewhere for breakfast the next morning. Our room phone had no dial tone. When I reported it to the desk was told it could not be fixed during our stay.
