Knights Inn Hadley

I really love the location! There are a laundromat, grocery stores, pharmacy, and other essential locations very close to the Inn. Buses run frequently and transport into nearby Amherst or Northampton. The air conditioning system runs super well, too!

The room was clean, and orderly. However the mattress and pillows were the hardest, cheapest I have ever slept on in a hotel. My wife and I could not sleep they were so uncomfortable. The lobby was in disrepair and looked nothing like the pictures. Overall, it would have been fine if it wasn't so OVERPRICED! It is the same price as the other nicer places in the area. We paid $190 per night (with taxes) and it should have been much less than that. I would suggest that they update the mattresses and pillows, and repair and replace the fixtures in the bathroom if they want to charge this much. It was run down and not worth the money.

While I knew this was a lower budget motel, my expectations were not even met. When I opened the door to the room a horrible smell came out - strong mildewy dank smell. By morning it almost had a sewage smell to it. The room was hot and stuffy, so I rutned on the AC - but in order to get AC you couldn't have the blinds closed because they closed over it. With the windows open I was on the ground floor looking directly onto the driveway of an oil change place and it's spotlight shown right in my window. I flushed the toilet once - and it ran and ran, I tried jiggling the handle to no avail, and eventually took the top off the back to fix it and found it was an ancient and barely functional inside. I adjusted the cap to stop the running and from there on in it just wouldn't flush at all. I'd asked for a one queen room, got 2 - fine - but both were hard as plywood. There was a refrigerator, which I need for medication, however when I got up in the morning everything I'd put in it was frozen solid, wasting almost $200 of medication. I wasn't looking for anything fancy, but I couldn't wait to go in the morning. I went to the door to check out but no one opened it (lobby closed due to COVID-19 - I was checked in standing outside). I called one of the three numbers on the door to at least say I was leaving (I had already paid) but there was never an answer or answering machine. I wish I'd spent the extra $20-$30 and gotten something at least decent.

I wasn’t expecting much but the bed was almost unbearable. The bathroom shower had a leak in it terrible water pressure not enough towels no shampoo or conditioner bottles in the room. Because of COVID we weren’t wowed in the office which I can understand.

The heater wasn’t working so they had this electric heater that wasn’t very good heating unit needs replacement rm 205

The Travelocity reservation was fine, the desk clerk didn't know how to deal with it. Getting to the room, it was 62 degrees, two of the lights wouldn't light. When I went to breakfast at 7:30 there was none out on the table. I wasn't expecting much for the price, but was even more disappointed. I have traveled extensively, often on a tight budget, but this was humble.

I reserved a room for two nights and paid for it. I could not make the reservation. I understood that I had forfeited the first night's fee, but the hotel refused to refund the second night. The booking service I used, reservations.com, was completely useless in trying to get the refund. I called the hotel, and it told me to contact a booking service called Agoda, which I had never used,, in order to get the refund. Of course I had no confirmation number to give Agoda. This hotel is slimy and unethical and deserves all the poor reviews it has received.

Room was basic but clean. Good bed. Hot shower. No in-room coffee did have a fridge/freezer and microwave.

Quiet, clean, convenient, easy check in and out. Grest price.

Staff were very friendly, and put in the extra effort to make sure I got what I needed from my stay. The room was set up nicely, though it was a little outdated, and there were some repairs that were needed- things like a chipped sink, a rip in the comforter. These didn't affect my stay, which was pleasant and comfortable.
