Canal Court Hotel

Had wanted to stay here for such a long time and finally did in July. I was so unimpressed, the pool area was disappointing not enjoyable at all. Room 8was nice, comfortable bed. Went to the bar food was good but the table although set for dinner was not cleaned. Wooden panels were dirty as was the glass. Breakfast was good dining hall amazing. Overall experience was average and to be honest the price for bed and breakfast was overpriced. Sorry I would not return or recommend.

Not much to do as a lot of buildings were boarded up. I felt safe in the hotel though.

Exceptional hotel, we couldn't fault a thing. The staff were excellent and couldn't do enough for us, from the reception to the waiting staff to the housekeeping staff, they were so friendly. the food in the mill restaurant was excellent. Bed was so comfy... There was even a water bottle refill machine in the hallway. If I could give this hotel a 20 out of 10 I would! Well done to all the cogs that make this machine work to perfection!

One night stay for work , exceptional friendly staff , old school values

Spacious and clean room. Great staff and facilities. Reasonably priced and the housekeeping is second to non. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you Canal Court.

Food and service was excellent

I have travelled to many different places throughout the world but this hotel is as enjoyable an experience that we can remember of all of the places we have stayed. Whilst the hotel is quite impressive, the staff are the ones that made this quite memorable. The locals throughout the Mournes are the friendliest and most polite we have had the pleasure to meet. Thanks to everyone for your outstanding hospitality and service.

Went to enjoy a day/night away with the wife. Few drinks and a meal, etc.. Guinness wasn't good. Bar staff were very young and didn't know much about spirits, but they tried. The hotel itself was nice, with dinner and breakfast. BUT it was overrun with what I believe was the Travelling Community. They ordered the barman to switch channels and turn the volume up FULL so they could watch what they wanted, even though people were watching the last round of the Open. Screaming children running about the place, throwing sweets down the stairs and wrecking the toilets. They even ran through the upstairs dining room, whilst residents were having dinner. Met an American couple who asked if this is the way all children from Ireland behave, absolutely embarrassing. Was told there was a fight between two travelling families last year, chairs and tables being thrown all over the place, but assumed it was a one off. Guess I was wrong. I won't be back.

Staff were excellent particularly bar staff - great service all round

Lovely hotel right in the middle of everything. Spacious room, super breakfast, staff couldn't do enough for you. Left my charger in the room but didn't realise for a few days and they had it when I called. On site parking can be hard to get a buys times of the afternoon/evening. Two ESB ECars Network 22kW car chargers on site also.
