Mai Samui Beach Resort & Spa - SHA Plus

Værelset var stort med fine faciliteter. Det var nemt at arrangere ture via salg i receptionen. Personalet var super serviceminded.

Jeg valgte ikke selv stedet, men efter min smag var det for langt væk fra de hyggelige turiststeder ved fisherman's walking street, men også bare til en lokal 7/11. Der er intet byliv, man kan gå ud i om aftenen. Det var dog nemt at bestille taxa, men en halv time hver vej begrænser, hvor mange gange man synes det er sjovt.

Big and comfortable room, staff were so polite and helpfull, good breakfast.

This hotel is a beach resort but difficult to swim in shallow Sea. Also there is no visibilty for snorkeling too. Swiming pool looks dirty. So far to city center and there is no market, restorant close to hotel.

I found selection at breakfast very poor and the location really disappointing that without bike or car it was not possible to get anywhere

Facilities as in bars were shut most of the time no shop anywhere near to purchase essentials unless you travelled

Сильно все износилось и требует глобального ремонта, не очень убираются. Очень громко работал кондиционер

Muy buena piscina y servicio de desayuno

Mala limpieza de la habitación, cama en mal estado, pedí que la revisaran y no hicieron nada. Bar de la piscina con poca variedad y mala calidad de cocteles, poco ambiente en general en el hotel. La playa que tienen no es apta para el baño.

Lovely pools. Big rooms. Nice useful balconies. Friendly staff.

No atmosphere. Ghost town until midday. Couldn’t get a drink by the pool until midday. Limited sun lounges around pool (although empty) if busy would make it really hard to sit by the pool and watch kids play. AC in room was blasting a gale. Too many stairs and had to carry our own bags.

When I first read the reviews of this hotel I panicked and was already looking for new hotels to stay in! On arrival, everyone was friendly and I was pleasantly happy with everything. It’s an old hotel, so of course it’s run down to a degree, and definitely could do with some updating, small details being the most important I.e the beach towels we are given are quite scruffy and you can tell they are years old. The showers could do with much better & thorough cleaning, they do appear dirty and it did let the room down. Small updates like that would go a long way. With a little investment this place could be back to what was (I imagine) a fantastically smart & highly popular hotel :) Overall, don’t be put off by the picky & dramatic reviews.
