The Winnock Hotel

Lovely location, quiet but with very good access to all the area has to offer by car and public transport as well as great local walks. Our standard double room was small but comfortable enough for our short stay. The bed was clean and comfortable and there were plenty of clean, fluffy towels. We had dinner in the bar. There was a good selection of food and the staff pleasant. All staff we met were polite, personable and professional.

The room was small and a little stuffy through the night. The curtains did not completely block the light. The shower was temperamental and we were both scalded by it changing temperature during use. The extractor fan was very noisy. There were only two power outlets that we could find/access and those served the small lamp (the only ambient lighting) and the kettle, meaning things had to be unplugged to allow for charging equipment.

Stayed twice now and it meets all expectations. The staff are really helpful and friendly. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast is lovely, plenty of options.

Excellent location. Had everything you need for one night stay on WHW. Dog friendly. Staff very welcoming and helpful. I’d stay again.

Vegetarian sausages could be better.
