Plaza Regency Hotels

Nice hotel but do not visit at the moment. We as a family are in the hotel on our last day. The constant noise from the building work next door us a nightmare. Starting g af 7.30 am each day (except sunday). For the last 2 nights the fire alarm has been going twice last night and once the night before about 3pm.sorry to say that I cannot wait to get home tomorrow for some peace and quiet.

The toilet in our room was not fastened to the floor. It moves if you sit on it (not the plastic seat,the whole commode) . There is not a kettle or tea bags. The water is not drinkable. There isn't a shelf at all in the bathroom not even a ledge to put a tooth brush on. The balcony door doesn't close properly. The noise from the street will wake the dead. The bed is third world. There is a TV with welcome notes but the TV is as large as a small computer monitor and you must stand very close to read them. Carrying cases into the hotel from the street involves steps so and is very difficult. There in not enough room for more than one suitcase. My wife and I are in this motel because we chose a guided tour with Explore! Explore! are stingy. We are very disappointed.

No kettle in our standard room. Charged 9 euros for a week A charge for using a pool towel of 2 euros. Not very efficient reception staff or friendly

A perfect location for seeing Malta. The bus stop to many places around the island is situated right in front of the hotel and it’s €2 to go anywhere! The restaurant for breakfast was huge and there were always tables available. Breakfast was varied and plentiful with stunning views across the bay. The staff were all very friendly and polite. We stayed in a standard double room on the second floor. The room was lovely with sea views but the road below was quite noisy so I would suggest asking for a room higher up. Overall we had a lovely weeks stay at the Plaza Regency and would definitely stay there again if we go back to Malta.

Pros: - great location on the seafront, near to bus stops, restaurants, and bars, but not too close that you hear them - Breakfast didn’t blow my mind but was good everyday - Spacious and clean room with good facilities - Pool area is very nice - I would stay here again if it was costing the same amount Cons: - Staff were helpful but never friendly, except for the few gentleman who worked in the restaurant who were very kind and attentive - Could be noisy at times. Not unbearably noisy but definitely would improve by better noise insulation from people on the floor above and others on their balconies - Multiple school trips stayed there, and with that came the noise of children running around on the floor above and moving furniture. I would ask for the top floor.

Just spent a week in Malta. The hotel was really good. We stayed in studio room which had a Kitchette. It was ideal for having option to have a light meal. Rooms cleaned daily. The rooftop pool was lovely and views were great. Ideally located on the quieter side of Sliema and close to St Julian’s. There were a few sea swimming spots that we used opposite the hotel which were great. Bus stop outside the hotel The only slight negative is the bath towels were on the small side Would definitely recommend and good value got money

Nice enough facilities - nice comfortable apartment - unfortunately we had Cockroaches in the room twice which pretty much ensured we wouldn’t return again

We liked our room and the location. Both pools were beautiful. Unfortunately, we had to carry our pram up 2 lots of stairs each time to get to reception. Furthermore, on the second night someone on our floor (of only 4 rooms) was suuuuuuper loud until midnight, keeping our one year old awake. At the time, the staff member was great and came to speak with them multiple times. The next day I asked the manager what was happening and if they had checked out. He said no and that they'd "speak to them" but people were allowed to be noisy until 11pm. I said we couldn't risk our one year old being kept up so late again and asked if we could move. He then became aggressive and confrontational, pretending to check the rooms for less than 10 seconds and saying none were available. Then he started shrugging his shoulders at us. Terrible non-existent customer service. We moved to the Carlton Hotel after this, which way much better!

Excellent hotel excellent staff The staff are unbelievable, friendly helpful and very pleasant Carmen in the restaurant is fabulous Food excellent Room excellent Location perfect This is my second time staying here and I can't wait to go back again The only thing I would ask is that they pop an Indian curry on evening meal for those like me who love most foods but favourite is Indian

Noise in the morning the cleaner but all her stuff and trash from of my room and making noise from 7.30 in the morning.. kids running around the floor.. and over priced never again
